CHAPTER 6

Tina and I was ecstatic. I feel like everything was going out according to plan. We are now almost done with High School. From time to time, I perform at stage for concerts, events. Kuya is now in New York for another project. I mean what else can I ask for?

"Maggie, kuya ask me if you'd like to visit a cabin of a friend, mag bbq party daw tayo. Successful yung opening ng isang branch ng hotel ni Kuya e."

"Sino sino tayo?"

"Getting curious aren't we? It's just kuya, me ,ikaw syempre and his friends. Harmless naman sila. So go tayo?"

"yeah sure. Paalam ka kay Mommy ah. Is it over night ba or until hapon lang?"

"Overnight ata eh. Mag bonfire din daw tayo."

"Cool. Sige count me in."

So totoo nga, it's a cabin inside the woods.

"Kuya baka katulad to non gnapanood ko na horror movie, hindi na tayo makakalabas ng buhay sa cabin, hala kuya may balak pa akong magka pamilya. Magiging sister-in-law ko pa si Maggie, hala mamimiss ako ni Marcie!"

"Marcie? Hoy sino yun Tina? Tinamaan ka talaga ng lintik sa akin"

"Marcie? Kapatid ni Maggie duh. Tina-maan talaga ako don kuya hard.deep-rooted.periodt."

"ang bata bata mo pa. buti pa tong si Maggie mukhang focus sa goals."

"Sus iba goals nyan."

Kinurit ko na. baka kung ano pa masabi. We sometimes talk about Rhett kaya ayan muntik pa akong mabuking.

"so kuya, kaninong cabin ba eto at sobra naman sa pagka private? May friends kang sindikato noh?"

"Silly. No, this is Rhett's place, hmm one of his newly-acquired assets here in Davao."

"Millionare. Check." Tina mentioned while looking at me smirking.

"We're here. Let's go."

Rhett is waiting at the front door. I looked around, there are trees everywhere. This cabin is located inside the forest. It looks majestic. It looks modern. Full glass, you can see the inside except for probably the rooms, there are parts that were tinted, for privacy perhaps.

"How was your ride?"

Rems answered pero Rhett's eyes never leaving me.

Tina exaggeratedly  cleared here throat.

"e-e-ehem. Sino tinatanong mo Rhett?"

"mag kuya ka naman Tina. "

"Ay sorry Kuya Rhett, pag ba si Maggie ang sumagot mag ku-kuya din?"

"huh?.. Ahhh the ride was fine k-kuya Rhett."

Tina laughed so hard.

"You can call me Rhett. I'd be more comfortable with that."

Rhems just shrugged it off and we all went inside the cabin.

Infairness ha. Ang modern and minimalist nong design sa loob at labas, sobrang consistent.

"the girls bedroom will be there." He pointed our room, "let me guide you two."

"Sure ka Rhett, magkasama kami ni Maggie? O baka naman....."

"Thank you, kami na ni Tina ang bahala.  We'll take it from here."

I have to cut her off. Ang daldal talaga nya. We put our backpacks sa cabinet. Dalawa ang bed. Perfect.

"San kaya ang room ni baby Rhett"

"Sana tinanong mo kanina"

"Asus di ko yun gagapangin noh. Baka ikaw pa gapangin non. Bwahahahhaha."
