I bent on the couch from behind it to spy on Tia and Audry having their phones clinking with each other. Audry was arched over the armrest as Tia sat at the end of the long grey couch.
These two never hang out, what would they do with each other.
I learned in to squeeze a chin between their heads, " Show me." They turned their heads and Audry immediately went back to their phones clinking.
"I wish I knew what we're doing," Tia said with beaming blue eyes.
Audry waved her hand at me and pointed to the screens with her gaze not moved, "There is some app I got and needed to use someone else's phone to see if it worked."
I squinted my vision to see an app that media icons of audios, pictures among others on the phones in a light blue organized theme.
Tia looked intensively at Audry as she asked, "What's wrong with blue tooth?" Audry kept pressing icons in the app.
"Blue tooth is?" I asked. Another thing to be learned in this world, great...
"A software inbuilt in the phone to send media without network. You just have to have a phone. Ess, you can scroll down and see it in your phone..." Tia explained.
I cut her off, "yes, I know. I'll use it when needed."
I only got my phone when I was making 15 and Audry has hers now at 12. I have a reason to not know these things.
"Mine doesn't work quite well. I had to go around asking my friends to see if they can send me something to get to the issue but no, it just had to be general." She only glanced once at me as she spoke but her attention was on the phone while answering Tia.
"And you just had to make me download an app." Tia aggressively whined as Audry grew a smirk.
Today I wore my dark blue leggings. They're the best, no questions needed. A cream bubble dress-top with them. I had tied my hair into a bun in the middle of my head, not the top, it felt better. This time, I was good, Mum and Sonny would be proud to know my hair was combed without any strands escaping my hairbands hold. I had small hoops in my ear piercings, gold with three tiny blue gems on them. My phone began to ring in my hand as they continued to see the app's features.
Sonny was calling. What would he want at 1 pm? I thought as I answered the call and walked to the open doorway.
I put it on loudspeaker and decreased the volume a bit.
"Sonny, "
"Ess, " he mimicked me.
I breathed out a laugh, "What do you want?"
"Jeeze, I have to want something with this girl."
I moved further to the porch with a small smile on my face and rolled my eyes, "Sonny it's one, I expect your calls either earlier than this or much later than this. So what's up?"
"Josh is coming for a short stay at my place, remember? We are on our way to you then to pick him."
"Oh. OH! Your coming to pick me then him?" I turned to look back into the house with an arm akimbo then turned back around to ask him,
"What do I do?"
"Get ready. Tell your dad. Don't you want to see Josh again and also give him advice?" He explained calmly.
I sighed rather loudly remembering what he said yesterday about doing it for him, "Anything else?"
"See you, Ess."
"K." I hung up and went back in. I actually didn't know where dad was so I have to check everywhere for him but I have cousins around the whole house. Why not ask?
