This day was not getting any better for me... I thought when I got home to more people having horrible arguments with each other. I first went to the kitchen before starving to death. Snacks must have been set for it was apparently only a few minutes past 5. How could I have been at my best friend's home for almost only an hour? And she wasn't even looking fine or herself not in one bit. She even asked me to leave?
I was walking slowly to the kitchen as I thought while still hearing Kelly arguing with Brian about her bruised ankle.
"Ow! Stop, you come home the first thing to hurt me!"
"Would you please just suck it all up and let me do my work!"
"Ow! You-"
"Shut. up!"
Audry laughed loud enough at them. Their voices dying when I neared the kitchen as my stomach growled with the new voices now while my pace got slower hearing Mum and Dad arguing again.
"...not even bothering to think twice. Don't you dare do it cause if you do-" Mum was cut off by a new voice.
"He has to first let go of her. I know him; he's always big-headed."
"Would you just leave it!" Dad snapped, "Whatever I do shouldn't bother you. She is-"
"Like I am not your bloody wife! Don't do anything and please just accept the facts. Move on, Allan. For both of them."
I was way too near to the door to continue listening so I popped my head in like I always do when I'm back home. "Hey!"
They turned to me from the far end of the island looking flustered. So was I when I noticed uncle Houston. Dad stepped away, "Where have you been?" Looking indignant as he stepped further away before Mum held him back behind him when I jerked in slight fear.
She asked quickly after him. "How come you're back so soon? I expected to see you at six..."
I scratched my ear, "Yeah, Heather had some work to do so I needed to leave her." Mum looked confused then shook it off with a smile and yet I could still see Dad looking away from us when uncle left to the dining table.
This is way too awkward for me to even overthink about it. My friend doesn't seem okay, my parents are feisty about some girl or woman and then there is a 'both of them' now. But it will get back to normal I know. I got some snacks that were laid aside on the counter below the cupboards and there was tea. I went up to my room, stuffed myself with all the snacks I could get while I drowned myself in a movie before sleeping off to forget about today.

I still had my clothes on when I woke up, checking the time to see it was 4. Watching three movies can actually make you more tired than I imagined and gosh I was hungry. Before I could change I headed down to the kitchen, there will most likely be someone awake at this time so I had to be quiet. Surviving the stairs and the living room, I made it to the kitchen hallway.
"Someone there?"
Great...
I moved back a bit into the home extension noticing aunt Sandra sited with her laptop, "Hello, aunty. Good morning."
She smiled amusedly, "Good morning, some bed head you have there."
I touched my head and moved to the glass walls noticing my hair messier than the way I left my bed. She giggled at me and I brushed her off with a smile while I slipped into the kitchen to make tea. But I had actually really wanted something sweeter though this is still okay for me since it's early.
Aunt came in while I stirred my tea, "Where were you yesterday, and why are you still in the same clothes?" Crossing her arms as I turned to her nervously.
