Well, if I'm being honest, there is no one acurate definition. The definition that shows up when you google it is HARDLY acurate. (Google's definition- the practice of magic, especially black magic; the use of spells) GOOGLE! I thought you were ABOVE stigmatizing an entire community! What is wrong with the google definition? Well, for one, "black magic" is a racist term used to discriminate agaist Afican voodoo. Secondly, it isn't about spells as much as it is about nature and energy. If fact, there are a lot of witches that don't use magic or do spells. All you have to do to formally become a witch, is have a connection to either nature or energy. That's it. Doing magic and casting spells isn't a requirement, it's just a perk.
There is a lot of confusion amoung people who don't practice witchcraft as to what a witch does (1) and looks like (2). 2 Witches do not look like green old hags with warts all over their face and long pointy noses. They look just like everyone else. The only difference between you and a witch is commitment to the craft. Also, wizards aren't a real thing. If a man practices witchcraft, he's a witch. 1 Dear people who hate witches, no. No, we do not eat children. No, we do not ALL worship the devil. No, we do not hate God. No, just because we're witches, it doesn't mean we are pagan or wiccan. No, we aren't demons. No, magic, I guarantee, does not work the way you think it does. No, it's not, in itself, a religion. It is STRICTLY an ideological form of living.
If you like nature, guess what? You would LOVE witchcraft. If you like the feeling of the flow of energy around you, guess what? Witchcraft would be PERFECT for you. The best part about it is, you can choose between hundreds of forms of witchcraft to find something that fits you perfectly.
