Chapter 1: The unknown entity and a new world.
'I opened my eyes only to see a sea of Black. I don't know where I am or why I am here...and honestly, I got scared.'
'It is not every day that you get pulled on a situation like this, but first and foremost I have to calm down and try to see what I can do.'
"Hello....? Is there anyone here?" I said hoping that anyone would answer me.
"Hmmm, how interesting," a booming voice that seemed so far yet so close said while I could feel its eyes on me.
"Who are you!?" I asked with a slight panic on my voice.
"Who I am is not important you on another matter is very interesting." Said the voice slightly amused.
"Why....?" I asked still in panic but curious.
"You have a great amount of good karma no human should have this much only if they helped every single person that has asked for their help and I find this highly unlikely." Boomed the voice.
"Well... I did help anyone who asked for my help cause it is how my grandfather raised me." I said with pride in my voice.
"I see..... your grandfather, should be a really good person then." said the booming voice.
"He really was..." I said slightly sad.
"And because of him, you will be given a chance of reincarnating into another world." Said the booming voice.
"Wait, what!?" I said with a slight sense of excitement.
'There is no way right? This to cliche to be true. Reincarnation is the dream of almost every teenager who reads any light novel or fanfiction.'
"You heard with correctly! With half of your karma, I can send yourself to another world, and with the other half, I can give you an ability of sorts." Said the voice.
"Can I ask what ability is...?" I said trying to hide my excitement.
"It is a system. What system is will be decided by a roulette roll." Said the booming voice.
'Damn! I really hope to get something good.' I thought.
"Let's begin then!" Said the voice, more booming than ever.
'And from nowhere a giant roulette appeared without any warning. The thing was so big that even by straining my neck I still couldn't see the full sheer size of it.'
'After that, a lever appeared near me, and with that as a cue, the booming voice spoke again.'
"Now, you will pull this lever and hope for the best." Said the voice, now highly amused.
'Well, It is all or nothing!.' I thought and pulled down the lever.
'It started spinning at a speed that I couldn't follow, all I could was to close my eyes and pray.'
'Finally, after what seemed like an eternity it stopped, I couldn't really read what was written, but what I did know is that are three words.'
"Ho!ho!ho! The Dmc System!" Said the voice surprising me.
"Do you mean Dmc like Devil may cry?" I asked sounding hopeful.
"Exactly, you are lucky indeed! It seems that your karma is helping you even here! Ho!ho!ho!". Said the voice genuinely happy for you.
'You could not contain your happiness!. After all, Dmc is one of your favorites games of all time.'
" Your new world was already Picked by your karma and it is a surprise for you. Are you ready to go?." Asked the voice with a bit of sadness.
"Yes, I am...and thank you very much for this," I said not forgetting to say my thanks to the voice.
"Very well, I sincerely hope that you have a happy life. Goodbye."
'After the voice said that, I felt the darkness swallowing me only for light come on its place.'
'New life here I come...' I thought for the endless possibilities ahead of me.
