60 ~ Ultrasound

The prodding didn't last much longer, Louis didn't have sore nipples however which was found to be unusual by Charlotte but she only told him not to worry.

"There are going to be parts of this pregnancy that don't match up to a opposite sex couples but that is expected as this is a same sex one but there is nothing wrong with that as we are going to learn as much as we can about it, you boys don't have to worry okay?"

The doctor continued to make the husbands feel more normal and comforted during the examination. She did however ask a few awkward questions that were a tad uncomfortable to answer while Anne was there. Such as topics of sex and deep into the twos relationship but they still managed.

"The physical is now all done but I do have an ultrasound if you would like to have a look, see the gender if you want to know?" Louis didn't hesitate to nod uncontrollably, grinning to Harry who was mirroring his actions.

"Yes please, we think it's a girl but I wouldn't mind seeing for sure, if you want to Haz?"

"Of course I do Lou." Charlotte beamed at the two boys in love and got up, disappearing into a smaller walk in storage space behind the bed.

"Can you lay out with ur legs up on the bed for me Louis? and just unbutton your jeans for me and pull them down a little so we can have a proper look."

She wheeled out a small contraption with a screen at the top and put it on the opposite side of the bed to wear Harry and Anne was.

Louis did as the women asked and took a breathe. As the machine started up, Charlotte got some gel out of the side of the ultrasounds cart, "this might be a little cold-" she made a spiral towards the bottom of Louis' stomach with the gel without much warning, making him flinch a little.

She held up a small remote looking device that the boys had definitely seen in movies before and rubbed it around the area. "This is called a transducer probe and it's going to receive echoes from your baby so we can see it and maybe hear it."

Harry and Louis were both waiting very patiently for her to find the figure using the weird remote and she did. "Or should I say her..." Charlotte swivelled the monitor around for the family as Louis heart skipped a beat.

"It's a growing baby girl!" The small ball on the screen made out their future, she was perfect and looked so well. Harry broke down and kissed Louis' knuckles as he knelt at the bed, tears forming.

His husband was the exact same, his eyes were beginning to fill more and more as he looked at her more and more.

She was really in his tummy, it was his little princess.

"There are no abnormalities that I can see here, she seems to be doing very well, congratulations." Anne hugged Harry on the ground as she lifted him back up, happy tears were now flooding down on everyone's faces.

"I'm going to have a granddaughter!!" She danced around, kissing Louis on the forehead when she'd finished.

"As she is this big already, we may be able to hear her heartbeat if I can find it."

The room when silent as the boys and Anne listened in carefully, watching the monitor as Charlotte rooted for the little ones heart.

Louis believed it was the best sound he'd ever heard, she was part of him and Harry, he no longer worried about the birth at that very moment, he didn't need to.

They were all there, safe and sound.

Harry spread his fingers across his husbands bump as he stayed hushed, only tuning in to his girls heart beat. He was so glad that Charlotte was treating them like any other couple, a change of tune to some of the previous shifters they had met.

Charlotte took a wipe and cleaned up Louis' stomach so he could dress himself. "I'm just going to record the results on my computer in the other room, come out when you're ready and we can discuss the actual birth."

Anne left, along with the doctor to return to the others but Harry joined Louis on the bed, rubbing his eyes. "You okay Haz?"

His husband didn't answer him but once Louis had his t-shirt back on, Harry just embraced him, wrapping both arms around the others shoulders.

"I love you both more than anything, I'll keep you both safe always I promise."

Louis kissed Harry's neck before pulling away, holding his face in his palms. "I love you too Haz but you don't have to worry about things like that-"

"I do Louis, you're my whole world." He lent down and pecked Louis' tummy slowly.

"Can we go and find out how she's going to be coming into this world?" The two got up off of the bed and intertwined their fingers.

"Of course."
