chapter 1

Chi-chi's legs suddenly felt weak, her body dropped to the ground in disbelief as she felt her eyes swell up with tears, her vision darkened as she slowly felt her heart sink to the pit of her stomach

"My- my Goku, his gone" she said quietly as she clutched onto her silky orange skirt

"But mom, dads not really gone, his just in other world" Gohan said softly trying to console his weeping mother

The Ox king followed up by rubbing Chi-Chis shoulders lovingly in hopes of calming his daughter down, Chi-Chi continued to sob quietly as the realisation that Goku was gone hit her

"Now now Chi-chi, i know your sad Gokus gone but im sure we'll see him again dear" The Ox king said soothingly

Gohan couldn't help staring curiously at his devastated mother, she had been upset many times before over loosing Goku, but never like this

He began to wonder as too what was the reason his mother was so terribly heartbroken over loosing his father this time

Gohan's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door bell ringing, followed up by Bulmas voice calling out for the Son family.

The Ox king politely opened up the cottage door, revealing Master Roshi, Yamcha, Puar, Oolong, Krillin, Baby trunks and Bulma,
the seven of them quickly rushed over next to Chi-chi, joining in to console the grieving widow

"We came as soon as we could Chi-chi, im so sorry" Said Bulma as she kneeled down next to her childhood friend

Thats when Gohan noticed his mother rubbing her stomach gentilly as tear droplets rolled down her cheeks

Gohan couldn't resist asking his mother
"Mom, is there some reason you'r so sad about dad being gone"

The whole room grew quiet as Chi-Chis face grew into a furious expression

The mother got back up on her feet and placed her hands on both hips,

"I CANT BELIEVE YOU WOULD ASK ME THAT SON, WHY AM I SAD ABOUT YOUR FATHER LEAVING? BECAUSE HIS LEFT THE THREE OF US NOW TO BE ALONE"

Gohan froze where he stood, not only had he been yelled at by his mother but Chi-Chi had just let something huge slip to everyone standing in the small wooden room

"What do you mean three of you"
Asked Master Roshi curiously peering back at her

The mother was suddenly being stared at by everyone, they all waited for her to give them a reply

"I wasn't planning on telling any of you this today but-"

A deadly silence passed across the room, as everyone anticipated Chi-chi's next words

"Im pregnant"

As soon as the words left Chi-Chis mouth Bulma rushed over to give her friend a congratulations hug, Bulma squeezed her tightly as she laughed out in joy

"Chi-Chi this is amazing, your baby is going to become best friends with my little trunks"

The prince of all Saiyan's son had been peacfully resting in the arms of Krillin across the room

Bulma gleefully walked over and picked up Trunks from his arms, she held her baby boy high up in the air as she giggled
"your gonna have a new baby friend to play with Trunksy"

While all this was happening everyone else had been joyfully chuckling along with eachother, congratulating Chi-chi and discussing the babys looks, gender, strength and more, the room was estatic about the new miracle

Krillin and Yamcha were jumping for joy to have a new Son family member to train with, although it was the thought of having a mini Goku around that made them feel elated with cheerfulness

Gohan stood there frozen, shocked with the news that he would soon have a new baby brother or sister.
Gohan had dreamed of the day he would have a sibling to train with, but he had never imagined it would happen so soon, and especially not the day he had lost his father

Chi-chi noticed her son looking lost in his thoughts, she walked over to him and placed her hand on his shoulder

"Are you alright son"

Gohan looked back at his mother with widened eyes full of excitment

"Of course i am mom! Im gonna have a baby sister or brother"

Tears once again rolled down Chi-chis face at the relief of her sons happiness

"I cant believe were gonna have another mini Goku running around this place" chuckled Master Roshi

Chi-chi smiled lovingly at the old man as she got flashbacks to when her and Goku were young kids, running around mountains and embarking on crazy adventures together

"Boy those sure were the best times" snickered Krillin

Chi-chi pictured Gokus warm loving smile on her new babys face, along with his kind black eyes she always loved looking into

She felt her heart glow with joy as she began realising what a blessing her new child would be.
