Chapter 8: Resource Games

Start from the beginning

"Of course someone will rob. Fortunately there's system protection in the game. Whoever hits the treasure box is the owner, and it can't be taken unless you give it away yourself. Although in the real world it's also impossible to grab it, but there will always be people who like to be robbers. This isn't like being hit or killed in the game world. This is a real injury. Most people without special training can't endure."

Song Qian looked down on those guys who didn't work hard to fight for resources in the game and only wanted to rob others. When they were mentioned, it was with disdain.

After disdaining them, he realized that Su An, the little master, hadn't experienced much of this. If he said too much it might cause discomfort to the other party, so Song Qian shifted the topic.

"Come here. Touch your book to your mobile phone so that your mobile phone can be connected to the gamer's private network." Song Qian helped Su An to complete the process, "Then you can do this later with a computer or tablet."

With the touch of his mobile phone to his book, a new world appeared before Su An.

Whether it was a web forum, search software, or video entertainment, there were many more things.

Su An clicked into one. Everything was related to resource games.

There were those that discussed certain levels, there were people or teams that gossiped, and there were various game-related questions and answers.

Even the Qing City that Su An had searched up on his mobile phone before, the content that appeared on the encyclopedia was no longer an ordinary introduction to Qing City, but included the game groups in Qing City, some well-known teams, the distribution of game resources owned by Qing City and so on.

If Su An had seen such an urban encyclopedia before, he would never have thought that this world was an ordinary and peaceful one.

Later on, Su An listened to Song Qian's introduction and asked some basic information that was difficult to find on the phone.

By the time there was movement in the house next door, Su An had already learned the new rules of the world.

Really, this made people so angry!

Su An did not expect to do everything for himself, nor did he expect that this world would turn out to be the end of the world!

It wasn't the fierce eschatology of the last world where zombies were everywhere, but the mild eschatology where all living resources could only be dropped by monsters from the game.

No one knew where this game came from, only that one day, people found that all the resources around them were gone. Only by versing monsters in the game and opening treasure boxes could they then get the resources to live.

All human beings would definitely be drawn into the game, except that everyone entered the game at different times and there was no pattern. Some new people would enter after a few minutes, and some wouldn't enter in years. Some were elderly, and some were children.

This was why Song Qian wasn't surprised that Su An had just entered the game now.

From this modest eschatology to the present, much time had passed.Everything that Su An could see in front of him, from the tables, to the chairs, sofas, TVs, etc. in the house were all brought by the people of Nanfeng from the game, including the entire Nanfeng District and the resources that people in the Nanfeng District needed to live.

That was why it was so mild.

As long as one worked hard to fight monsters and acquire more resources, they could still live as before the end.

However, no matter how mild it was, it was still the end of the world!

Could he really live a good life like a salted fish?

Can't! impossible!

Su An re-energized his spirit and had no intention of giving up this dream.

Thinking about it, he now had a master. This master's status was high, irrationality value wasn't low, and it was very easy to carry individuals in the game, wasn't it?

It seemed that he had to download a few male pet practice guides to learn and hold this thigh firmly.

Oh, and his identity in the game had to be tightly concealed.

Su An used to think that it was only a game identity and it was nothing to expose it. Now that he knows this game's status was so high, he wouldn't be so stupid as to let people know his information.

In particular, his great master, he absolutely must not let him find out about the him in the game!

So long as Su An thought about his master knowing of this and then no longer taking care of him with the reason that he could fight monsters on his own, he felt that he was one step further from his dream of being a salted fish!

How could he work hard to make money when there were others to support him!

...

I'll say this outright, but I don't know Chinese. I'm studying to be an editor, not a translator. I've MTL'd this and tried to make it flow nicer. There may be some mistakes, especially regarding tense, but since Chinese does that thing where it ignores tense, my brain imploded. I'll try to do it better in the future.

The author isn't consistent with some formatting and this is a big pain. I'm going through and fixing some stuff according to how I think it should be.

"Resource", as in the game itself, will look like 《Resource》, and when people mention "resource games" not as a noun, I'm keeping it as is.

If a title denoting intimacy is attached to a name, I'll keep the pinyin (E.g. Nanxu-Gege), but if it's not then I'll write it in English (E.g. That big brother). Also, "Gege" sounds more intimate than "brother", and writing Brother Nanxu doesn't really get the feeling across in English, especially since there'll be a lot of people later calling ML different variations of Brother.

Translation Notes:

"Really, this made people so angry!" : Was 真是、让人火大!, which directly translates to "Really, let people's fire grow!"

Gege: "Older Brother", but in a familiar way. Used for older boys.
