A small grin crept onto Taehyung's face as he slid his arms around Jisoo's waist, pulling her closer to him. "Is that so? But you forgave me pretty fast, so I must be special... and that makes me happy-"

"Hm, think whatever you want-" Jisoo scoffed as she looked down at Taehyung's arms wrapped tightly around her waist. "Let go for a while."

"Huh? Why?" Taehyung shook his head and hugged her even tighter. "No, I don't want to."

"Ya-" Jisoo pried Taehyung's arms off her waist and kept the things back into the first aid kit. "I need to clean up before my parents get back."

"You said they were coming back since two hours ago," Taehyung said as he got to his feet and glanced at the door. "Where are they?"

"They'll be back soon."

"Ah, then I guess I should stick around for a while longer." Taehyung grinned as he reclined in the sofa with a cheeky smile. "It's a bit unplanned, but I guess it's time to meet my future parents-in-law."

"Future parents-in-law?" Jisoo laughed as she rolled her eyes. "Get over yourself. Who said I was marrying you?"

"You're not?" Taehyung's jaw dropped as he reached out and tugged Jisoo towards him, causing her to land straight onto his lap. "Kim Jisoo, tell me - are you marrying me or not?"

"I'll have to see about that," Jisoo answered cheekily as she tried to get up, but Taehyung's arms were wrapped around her, holding her down

"I'll have to see about that," Jisoo answered cheekily as she tried to get up, but Taehyung's arms were wrapped around her, holding her down. "Depending on your behaviour."

"If you don't marry me, I'll remain single for the rest of my life," Taehyung declared. "So tell me again, will you marry me?"

"Come on," Jisoo scoffed. "Unlike what you think, there are actually a lot of people who like you. Even if you don't have me, there would be a whole line of girls queueing up to date and marry you... Lisa-ssi is one of them."

"Not true-" Taehyung shook his head in denial. "Not a single girl ever confessed to me in uni."

"You really thought you had no suitors at all in uni?" Jisoo grinned cheekily as she wrung her arms around Taehyung's neck. "Let me tell you this - there were plenty, Kim Taehyung. I just chased them all away."

Taehyung's jaw dropped. "You what?"

"Haven't you heard the saying?" Jisoo chuckled. "There can only be one tiger in one mountain, of course I had to get rid of all competition."

"So what you're saying is... I'm the mountain and you're the tiger?" Taehyung laughed amusedly as he looked at Jisoo with fondness written all over his face. "Kim Jisoo, you're imagination is wild. And wow... I can't believe you actually did that... perhaps I was pretty popular in uni after all."

"You were, your suitors were quite a headache to get rid off but I did it anyway, telling them that you liked me-" Jisoo said proudly. "I guess we're the same after all, I was jealous of them the way you were with Jungkook-ssi."

Taehyung gently booped Jisoo's nose with the knuckle of his index finger, chuckling softly

Taehyung gently booped Jisoo's nose with the knuckle of his index finger, chuckling softly. "I really have no idea what to do with you."

Jisoo manoeuvred herself to take a seat on the sofa next to Taehyung, cuddling up snugly against Taehyung and closing her eyes with a contented smile on her face. "I missed you."

Taehyung smiled as he leaned his head against the top of hers. "Me too."

"All this still feels so surreal... like I'm in a dream," Jisoo said softly. "I've become so accustomed to living without you, that sitting here talking to you seems like a dream that I'm gonna wake up from any moment now."

"Well-" Taehyung grinned as he leaned over and gave Jisoo a peck on her lips. "Does it feel real now?"

"Ya-" Jisoo pushed Taehyung away and covered her face with an embarrassed giggle. "Cut it out."

"Ah... I really thought that I was never gonna see you again..." Taehyung admitted. "I thought you were happy so I didn't think of appearing in front of you ever again. But today's meeting... well, that was really such a coincidence."

Jisoo chuckled. "Our first meeting at the cake shop... that was a coincidence. Our second meeting when I bumped into you, that was fate. Our third meeting in calc class, that was destiny. Our fourth meeting today, is the start of our new life together. Kim Taehyung, you said that we were parallel lines that were never meant to meet. But we met four whole times... how do you explain that?"

"Screw my crappy analogy back then," Taehyung said with a chuckle. "Maybe we aren't parallel lines after all."

"We definitely aren't," Jisoo said with a smile as she rested her head on Taehyung's shoulder once more

"We definitely aren't," Jisoo said with a smile as she rested her head on Taehyung's shoulder once more. "So promise me - let's never leave each other's side ever again. Regardless of whatever obstacles we may face in the future, be it your dad or my parents or money or just life in general, let's overcome it together. You promise?"

"Okay-" Taehyung smiled as he stroked Jisoo's hair gently. "I promise."

At that moment, the door lock clicked open and Jisoo jerked up from Taehyung's shoulder at once, surprised that her parents were finally back. But in contrast, Taehyung looked as cool as a swan as he got to his feet and turned back to look at Jisoo.

With a dependable smile stretched across his face, Taehyung reached out a hand. "Together?"

Jisoo's surprised expression slowly turned into a comforted smile, as she slowly took Taehyung's hand and rose to her feet. She turned to Taehyung and nodded, a confident smile on her face now that Taehyung was with her once more.

"Together."
