HEADS UP: I wrote this story when I was like 12 years old. I had no knowledge of mafias or gangs and ect and I didn't think about doing much research back then. Don't take this too seriously, because a child literally wrote it lmao. Anyway enjoyyyy

"Jayden. Go get me the.. the-"

     "The beer?"

     "Yes, hurry," replied Mom.

That stupid alcoholic, treating me like a slave, once again. Try to see what I go through for once.
I walked out of the pig-smelling apartment and started towards the street. The closest convenient store was about a 15 minute walk from where I lived.
We didn't own a car. Given our current condition, owning a car was beyond our dreams. Hell, I couldn't even buy a bike without going into more debt.
I was the only one who actually had a job, and even that job was crappy. Mom stayed at home all day, doing absolutely nothing except drinking. It's been like this ever since I was 4. That was when my dad left, or so I was told. I didn't remember much about him; he usually stayed at work.
I turned a corner and sped up, because it started to get dark, and I did not want to be out on the street at night. Especially in the area I lived in. Especially me, cursed with this white hair, which made me stand out more than I should've.
I got to the store and paid for Mom's beer with my money. I'm only 17, not old enough to purchase alcohol, but as I said, where I lived kind of sucked. No body really cared about what the other person did.
Two big-ish dudes saw me walk out of the store. Two big-ish dudes usually meant trouble, especially if it was only me, a small guy, and them on the block.
I walked faster towards my apartment, trying to lose them. I didn't turn back, and tried my hardest not to look suspicious, even though there was no reason for me to look suspicious.
I turned my head some and tried to get a glimpse of where they might be. I turned, and there they were in front of me. How had I not heard them?
Before I could say anything, I got knocked out.
