A Few Days Later...

Hagu hasn't come to class in a few days... ever since she snapped at me over the phone.

I haven't got any sleep since then. I am so tired.

I still don't understand what she meant by all that.
How did she know? The only person who could've told her...

Misaki.

How could I not have noticed that before?
She'd better have a good explanation for this.
I'll have to talk to her after school.

After School

Location: Front Gates

I managed to find Misaki near the front gates as usual. No Kokoro, either. I wonder where she's at.

She noticed me, and tried to look away.

"Misaki, we have to talk," I told her sternly.

"I'm sorry," Misaki told me. "I already know what you're going to say."

I sighed.
Well, that makes things easier.

"I... I had to tell Hagumi what you told me, because... I couldn't hide anything from her."

"What did you tell her?" I asked.

"Just what you told me. Do you know why she's not in class?"

"No," I told her. "I thought you'd know. She completely went off on me."

"She did? That isn't what I expected Hagumi of all people to do..."
Misaki looked sad.

"I was shocked. Why? Why did she do that to me?"

Misaki put her hand on my shoulder.
"I guess... anger clouds people's judgement. Even a person as nice as Hagumi."

"Anger clouds judgement? Even to someone you love?" I asked.

"Anger has no barriers. Many relationships, be them romantic or friendly, ended because someone snapped at the person they love. But it's not their fault."

Wow, Misaki really knows about things like this...

I hugged Misaki.
"I still love Hagumi. There's still a chance, right?"

"Of course. It'll be tough, but you can do it. Just speak from your heart, and speak honestly."

Speak from my heart?
Speak honestly?

To the person that loved me, and snapped at me?

Remember, it's not her fault.
Anger clouds judgement.
