A Chance Of Surviving

Chapter 3 - Alice

I recognized him from when I was a child. From when I had a sister. From when I had a father and mother.

From when I was 14.

*FLASHBACK*

"Daddy!! Daddy where are you?"

I heard Cathryn, my little sister scream for daddy - as we both were lost in the woods.

"Cathryn!!! Cathryn it's me Alice!" I screamed for her following her cries. These woods were scary. But I'm very glad it wasn't dark. I didn't stop for one second. With the leaves craking and braking underneath my feet, and the strong wind blowing loudlyh in my face, I managed to hear her. 

I managed to hear the only thing that gave me a reason to stay alive.

My sister. 

"Alice? Alice help me!" she cried as I continued running towards her. She was far away but at least I found her.

She turned and saw me "Alice! Alice i'm scared!" she cried

"I'm coming!! Stay right there" I said almost reaching her

"AHHHH!"

She screamed as someone grabbed her from behind.

I ran as fast as I could towards them -

But it was too late.

She laid there beside his feet, with a puddle of blood underneath her. He stabbed her. And now my 6 year old sister was dead. The only thing, the only one that was left for me in this mad, mad world.

"YOU!" I yelled with anger and my fists tightened

"well, I see it's only you and me now, Alice" he said with a crazy smile

"what do you want from me?" I said with all my earlier confidence fading, and fear took over my body instead.

"YOU, of course" He said like it was obvious "Did you color you're hair? It seems so different. I remember it light blond the last time I saw you" he said chuckling as he took a step towards me and I took a step back

"I-I never saw you before in my entire life!" I mumbled freezing as he caressed my cheek

"Alice, you have forgotten, didn't you? I mean, you are THE Alice, right?" he said and instead of his crazy smile, I saw sadness crawl on his face instead.

"You" he said as I saw he was getting mad. Very mad.

He walked towards me and I walked backwards until my back hit something.

Great.

A wall.

Thank you stupid wall.

And now, I am trapped.

And to make things even "Better"- I am trapped with a psycho murderer.

"YOU are a fraud" he said punching the wall just a few centimeters beside my head.

"W-what do you mean?" I asked confused and terrified

"How DARE you pretended to be Alice? THE Alice?" he screamed as his eyes grew from freakish green to terrifying bloody red

"I not a fraud! My name is Alice K. Andrews!" I screamed back regretting I did so

"Why is a raven like a writing desk?" he stared into my eyes calmly, rather like something was broken inside of him.

"How the hell i'm I supposed to know?!" I was suddenly furious and impatient

His eyes grew red again he screamed something grabbing my wrist and dragging me behind a dark abandoned building away from all the people and cars

"let me go!" I struggled to escape but his grip just grew stronger

"No. You must be punished"

"P-punished? For what?" I mumbled in fear as he stopped and turned around me

"For pretending to be Alice Riddle, Or maybe you're lying. You've lost your muchness" he hissed and shoved me against a wall walking in circles muttering something.

"Alice Riddle..." I said to myself thinking.

And then it came to me.

"Wonderland?" I asked as he stopped and looked at me.

And in his eyes was a sign of hope, A sign of-

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

"Mrs. Andrews? Are you okay?" Adrianne asked me holding my hand.

She must have freed me from that nightmare.

And then I realized it.

He was here.

And this time, he didn't come for me.
