XXXVII

"She had the reception in a headlock," Jayson laughed

"She was asking for it, she laughed in my face when I told her I'm your wife," I told him

"I deal with her, have you eaten since morning?" he asked

"Yes, have you? I know you didn't I'll call and order something for you what do you want?" I ask

"I'm not hungry," he says

"I'm not taking no for an answer," I told him

"There's a cafeteria down on floor 50 you can get something," he said I got up and he gave me a keycard 

"For my elevator, the other elevators don't go on this floor," he explained and I nodded walking away

I entered the cafeteria there were only a few people idly sitting I went to the cashier and started ordering

I sat and waited until my order was ready.

I saw a very familiar face walking into the cafeteria my heart started beating so fast in a panic I turned my body away from her and started taking deep breaths I turned around to peep at her she was sitting typing away on her phone and thankfully her back was turned to me

"She looks so different" I muttered to myself

There are a lot of questions bombarding my brain, but the one that stayed on top is why won't my past leave me alone

"Order 34" the lady called I held my receipt up and got up I gave it to her she compared the items on the receipt to what was in the bag then she handed the bag to me

"Thanks," I told her and hurriedly walked away

"Are you okay? you haven't said much since you got back from the cafeteria. Did something happen?" Zathrian's voice says, breaking me out of my thoughts

I was sitting on his couch while he worked

"I'm fine what time are we leaving?" I asked

"Soon," he said and I nodded.

I'm at his parents' mansion Zathrian is out clearing a shipment he says he's not sure if he'll be back for the night and I didn't want to stay in the mansion alone so I told him to leave me here besides I haven't been over here in weeks

"You don't like me," I say to Jayson

"No I mean yes I like you but you intimidate me a lot," he says, blushing

"Do you want to be besties it gets lonely sometimes the girls and I hang out a lot but I just don't get them they're cool and all but they're a little too innocent and boring for me," I told him

They never want to go out to clubs we go shopping have sleepovers but that's not enough we all need to have fun once in a while but they're too uptight

"Don't hesitate to call me whenever you want to hang out or talk" he says happily

"Great," I say and walk away

"Can we talk privately?" Elizabeth ask

"Sure, Wassup?" I asked and she dragged me away he brought me to her room and closed the door

"Remember when I told you about the special thing I had planned for Lorenzo," she says

"Yeah, for his birthday," I answered

"So I was planning on giving my uh I want him to take my virginity I wanted to do it for his birthday I couldn't I got scared," she says shyly

I look at her in disbelief  "No fucking way how do you even keep your legs close for that long what the fuck!"
