"Justin, stop yelling at the tv." I ordered.
"But mommy!"
I sighed and turned off the tv, grabbing Justin's hand and hauling him up.
"Wanna make cookies?" I questioned.
He nodded.
I looked through the refrigerator and found the cookie dough.
A few minutes after we started making the cookies, the phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hello, Ms. Pallete. This is Dr. James. We need you and Justin to come to the hospital right away."
"Oh, uhm, ok. Is it bad?" I inquired.
"Sorry to say this but, yeah."
We said our goodbyes and hung up.
My heart was pounding as I told Justin to get ready.
We reached the hospital and I had already called Gracie so he was coming over.
"So, what's the bad news?" I questioned and Gracie ran in.
"What's wrong?"
"Justin....uhm, how do I put this?" Dr. James trailed off. "Justin has a limited amount of time before..."
Both me and Gracie gasped, tears showing up in our eyes.
"H-how did this happened?" I whispered, too scared and shocked to speak any louder.
"In the car crash, a part of the car hit his head causing some damage to his brain. This is why he first thought he was 6 and various other ages." Dr. James explained and my heart sunk.
I looked over to see Justin sitting on the floor while reading a magazine upside down. He was giggling to himself and pointing at pictures.
I burst into tears, holding Gracie as she did the same.
"But-"
Both our heads snapped up to look at Dr. James.
"There might be a way to prevent it."
"Quick, tell us!" Gracie sniffled.
"You guys have to get him to grow up and fast."
"How long do we have?" I asked.
"1 month." He replied. "I'm sorry but I have another patient to attend."
We nodded and he left.
So, 1 month to get Justin to be 26 again.
This can either go really good or really bad.
