Living a Lie

Wake up in the morning
Listen to your mum snoring
A perfect time it is
To find what has been hid

Searching through her drawers
You are shocked to the core
One is locked, closed up tight
You must find the code then type it right.

You type in this, you type in that
Then turns out, the word was simply hat
In the drawer is a clipping
Of a girl just like you, skipping

It could have been your twin
A girl named Gwendalyn
You search on your mum's laptop
Finding more than just a snapshot

There was a clicking sound,
So you turned around
You looked in horror
As your heart tore

A gun at your head
You realized mum was out of bed
But only she wasn't your mum
she was the stranger with a gun

A woman so crazy and wild
That she kidnapped you as a child
You supposed you said it out loud
As she let out a fearsome growl

Panicked you begged, pleading for life
Horrified she had caught you looking at such sites
She shook her head with a grin and opened fire.
Laughing as your face twisted in pain, glad to fill her impatient desire.
A guy comes behind her and is shocked as he looks through the door
A girl, half dead on the floor

He runs to you and lifts your head
Hopeing that you're not already dead
You smiled at him, and then you said
His name in a gentle, soft and soothing whisper

Water falls across your cheek
Leaving behind a colorless streak

You feel yourself begin to slip
Panicking, you bite your lip
You wrap yourself around him and squeeze him really hard
With the final words 'I love you' you die in his arms.

A/N: So how was it? This is my first poem. I hope you enjoy the rest!
