Luna's POV
I slowly open my eyes and find out that I slept with Newt in human form last night.
And actually slept with him.
Not just sleep in the same room but in his arms.
I roll over and find Newt in a deep sleep with his arms wrapped around me.
I feel safe in his arms.
I don't want to leave but Newt has to.
He has to go run the maze, so I carefully wake him up.
He groans then his eyes flutter open and he looks down and smiles at me.
"Hey Luna.." He whispered to me
"Hey Newt.." I whispered back to him
"Do you have to run the maze today with Minho again?" I ask still whispering
"Nah.. We've got a gathering instead today.." he whispers through a yawn
"Why are we whispering.." I giggle in a whisper
"I guess because we're not shoutin" he says in his normal voice with a smirk on his face
We both laugh and get up.
He puts his over shirt on and walks out the door.
I stay there watching him exit the door while playing with my moon necklace...
Since when did I have a necklace??
"You coming ?" He says as he walks back into the room holding out his hand
"Yeah" I said with a shy smile on my face
I take his hand and he leads me out to the glade.
We go and have breakfast then head off to where the gathering is being held.
Newt sits at the front with Alby and Minho.
And the rest of the other gladers sit as the audience.
I sit down next to Newt and Minho.
Alby stands out front and quietens everyone down.
"So as u all know we have a girl in the glade and just to be clear the girl is Luna, the wolf." Alby explained to everyone.
"So I called this gathering to find out what we are going to do with her. And what her job is going to be... Any suggestions?" Alby says before everyone starts yelling out suggestions
I heard some like ...
"We should lock her up!"
"Kill her!"
"She could be dangerous!"
"Banish her!"
The thought of them scares me.. A worried/scared look pulls across my face.
I guess Newt didn't like the suggestions either because he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him then gave me a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure they don't lay a finger on you..." Newt says comforting me
The thought that he wants to protect me makes me happy and safe.
"Alright alright! One at a time... Minho you go first." Alby shouts then everyone quiets down to listen to Minho
"I think she should be a runner... She could be very useful in the maze... help sniff thinks out ... You know....But of course in wolf form." Minho suggests
I like the idea of me going into the maze with Minho and Newt ... Becoming a runner just got a whole lot more interesting...
"Luna do you know how to turn back into a wolf?" Alby asks me
Then all eyes lay on me
I look up at Alby and give an unsure smile
"of course!" I blurt out
I lied I don't know how to turn back into a wolf... I haven't been a wolf for 2 days..
"Then that settles it then ... Tomorrow you're runner.... Alright that concludes the gathering everyone has the rest of the day off!" Alby shouts then turns and faces me
"Minho will take you down to the map room and tell you everything you need to know about the maze." Alby says pointing at Minho then walking out.
"Well let's go than Wolf..." Minho says as he walks towards the doors
"Wolf? seriously?" I mock him
"Stealing my words I see ... Yeah that's your new nickname, greenie doesn't really suit you.." He says shrugging
I turn around and Newt gives me a little wave.
I wave back then run after Minho towards the map room.

Newts POV
Now that the gatherings over We all have free time.
But there isn't anything I want to do except be with Luna but I can't because Minho is with her..
Maybe I can come to!
No I need to give Luna space and let her socialise with other gladers that are nice to her ... Minho's nice he's my best friend along with Alby ... We were the first ones here ... But now Luna is one of my best friends ... Well to me she is more than just a best friend... I hope I am more than just a best friend to her...
Luna's POV
I feel bad for leaving Newt there by himself.
I don't really want to see the map room.
I wanna be with newt and ask him if he can teach me how to shape shift back I to a wolf.

"So that's the map room" I hear Minho say before he walks out the door
I chase after him.
"Hey Minho?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think Newt likes me ... As in like likes me?"
"Yeah it's not a secret!"
"Really ? Well if it's a secret how come I don't know?"
"I mean it's really obvious... Like when we ran the maze together he couldn't stop talking about you... And the way he looks at you with goo goo eyes... And the way he was holding you in the gathering ... Oh and I saw you two sleeping together on the floor this morning!"
I blushed at the last part.
Minho hit me playfully on the shoulder.
"It's ok, I know you like him too!" He coos
"How can you tell ?!" I asks eagerly
"You just told me !" He says in between laughs
"You're such a shuck face" I say hitting him on the arm with a huge smile on my face trying not to laugh.
I see Newt leaning against the tree.
I say bye to Minho then run up and sit next to Newt.
"Hey have fun?" He asks playing with a stick
"No it's sooooo boring I nearly fell asleep!" I say exaggerating a little bit
"Really then what stopped you from falling asleep?" He asks with a smirk
"....You...." I say shyly, looking away.
"Aww that's so sweet" he says poking me in the stomach
I let out a giggle.
Then he starts tickling me.
"Stoooop" I say in between giggles
And then we both burst out in laughter.
After our giggle fest, we headed off to have lunch.
We sat with Chuck and Minho as usual.
And Chuck told his little jokes and about his morning.
After lunch I headed off to the deadheads as they call it .... But I call it the forest.
I sit there for a while until I hear someone coming.
I climb up the tree and sit on a branch so they don't see me.
Until I see the person and that person is Newt.
I'm glad he was here I want him to teach me how to shape shift.
I slowly climbed down the tree and stand at the trunk
"Ahem can I help you ?" I say sarcastically
"Oh, yes I am looking for a girl about yay short and hair yay long... Have you by any chance seen her?" He says playfully
"I may have .... Has she got a great personality and an amazing boyfriend... By any chance?"I play along
"Depends on the boyfriend... Who is this lucky fellow... Hm?" He says with a smirk on his face
"Oh you know ... He's about yay tall and hair about yay short.." I mock
"Oh and has he got an incredible girlfriend?" He says slowly walking up to me
"Depending on what you call incredible" I say with a smirk on my face
"There is only one type of incredible" he says quietly
"And what may that be?" I say quietly also
"You!"
And then he crashes his lips into mine.
Fireworks go off inside me.
He has his hand on my waist and the other cupping my small face.
My hands are wrapped around his neck.
We gasp for air resting my head on his.
"That must be SOME incredible!" I say giggling
"Well her boyfriend must be really lucky to have that incredible to himself." He says kissing my cheek
"Hey could you teach me how to shape shift? Since my boyfriend is so good at it that he can do it in his sleep." I say with a smirk on my face
"Yeah sure when do we begin?" He asks pulling me into a hug
"Right now!" I say
"Alrighty then!" He says as he turns us both into a wolf with a flash of green light.
"But you have to catch me first!" He says as he runs off deep into the forest
We chase each other than I I jump on top of him.
My paws either side of his head, my tail raised high and my snout inches away from his.
"But there is a twist if you wanna teach me you have to catch me! And I run off expecting him to chase after me
I run straight ahead then turn around to see if he is following me.
But I can't see him... I run straight back out to the glade .... Until someone crashes into me,
"Didn't expect that did ya ?" Newt says still in wolf form standing on top of me mocking my position
"Nope!" I said popping the P
"Right if I teach you how to shape shift in and out of wolf form you have to promise me one thing .... Never tell anyone that I can turn into a wolf like you... ok?..." He says in a serious voice
"Ok" I say and licked his nose
He gets off me and we go back deeper into the forest.
And he teaches me how to shape shift.
Minho's POV
After lunch I decide to go for a run around the glade.
As I run past the deadheads I hear a strange noise... Leaves rustling and twigs cracking, Like someone running... Maybe it's just Luna ...
But I don't think she will be in here alone maybe Newts with her?
I decide to have a look I walk into the thick forest following the sound.
Until I see something I don't think I was supposed to see.
