It was another sleepless night. I'm going to ask if I could work at night instead of daytime. I just don't feel safe anymore. I know how to fight, but I don't know who I'm going against.

-

"Really? You want to work the night shift? You know that's 7am to 7pm, right?" My boss asked me one more time if I really wanted to and I sighed. "Yes, I want to." I smile.

Fake smile.

"Alright. You'll be working with the new kid. I forget his name, but he has long blond hair. He's in his early twenties." He explained. "Alright." I then walk out of his office and make my way outside. I get in my car and go to the local bakery.

While driving, I feel a little uneasy. I look at the rear view mirror and see a fancy car following me. Just to make sure they weren't following me, I turn into an ally and drive away. I look away and they're thankfully gone.

I look in front of me to see the same car blocking the way out. I try to reverse, but there is another car there blocking the other side.

Shit, I'm trapped.

I reach down to get my knife and put it in my purse. I then get out of my car and lock it. "Excuse me. What is the meaning of this?" I ask out loud. The people get out of the cars and come closer.

"Boss said to wait, but if we catch you, then we will earn respect..." one of them mutter.

I don't know what to do. I'm trapped and I refuse to run them over.

"You're coming with us pretty lady." One of them shout.

There's too many. I can't fight them. I'm only a beginner. Spare me please..

I look at the buildings next to me and see that they aren't that tall.

Flee.

I slowly walk over to the wall. After two seconds, I rush up the wall. Call me Spiderman because I just climbed a wall. Luckily, they couldn't get me because they were too far.

Sorry car. I'll get you later.

Once I'm off the building, I rush back to the hospital. I was lucky that I wasn't that far and that no one was suspicious.

That wasn't fun.

"(Y/N)?" I turned to see Armin.

...

Why is Armin here?

"What are you doing here?!" I ask. He avoided eye contact. I sighed and pulled myself together. "You're the new kid. Of course.." I mutter. I could tell he was nervous. "Did Levi send you?" I ask him. He quickly looked up at me and shakes his head. "No! He actually forbids us to talk to you. I just told him that I was gonna do something else at the time!" He rubbed the back of his head.

He's disobeying Levi Ackerman? How odd. I mean, it's not my problem anymore. This kid has some guts.

"Disobeying your boss. How surprising!" I smile. "You have to help me though. I'm doing the night shift and the receptionist.." he told me. Does he even have skill for that? "Before I joined, I had a normal job at a hospital as the receptionist." He clarified, "Then why do you need my help?" I ask him. "get used to the place, you know?" He told me.

"Ah, I see."

At the time, I totally forgot I was being chased by Kenny's guys. Luckily, I asked Armin to walk home with me and I was fine.

Everything was okay..

..for now.

-

Everything was fine. All good and dandy until that cowboy decided to show up. Levi was going crazy. He was convinced that Kenny officially destroyed his life.

He was on the brink of death.

He quickly came out of his thoughts when the door opened, revealing Hange.

"If you're going to scold me, then I will ask you to please leave." Levi announced. Hange closed the door and walked over to the chair and sat down.

"I wanted to apologize. I know why you did what you did. You were trying to do good." She said. Levi looked over to her direction. "I made it worse." He said. Hange smiles at him, "it's the thought that counts. You risked your relationship for her. You love her, right?" She asked. He only nodded.

"Then end this ridiculous war with Kenny." She then adjusts her glasses, looking more intimidating than usual. "End him." She smiled.

How could someone be so scary when they smile?

After Hange left, he took the time to plan. He wanted this to be over. Like Hange said, he does need to end it. It's been ten years. It's time to stop this foolish war.

If Kenny dies, then his so called 'minions' technically do as well. Well, not literally. They would not be under his command anymore and would leave us alone.

Why does he know that? Well, Hange asked a spy a few questions and the spy told her everything.

They were technically dolls.

..Well, that's what the spy said at least.

The problem was that he needed (Y/N) to be safe. What if she was already captured? What if she's dead? That would be 'game over' then.

-

Another day, another dozen of kidnappers. I swear, they won't give up. If this keeps up, I might just ask for help. It's not like I'm actually fighting them. I'm escaping. I always try to find a new route. It's tiring, to be honest.

My legs have been aching lately. Probably because of all this running I've been doing.

I work night shifts with Armin and train with Mikasa. I know I said that I don't want anything to do with the Mafia, but I just can't let go.

They know mental pain. They know how it feels to see your life go away in seconds. They're like family. A family I've never had.

One day, I hope to have my own family. With someone I love and respect. Someone that loves me back.

Someone special.

...

I miss Levi so much it hurts.
