Nora's POV.
"8 AM - WAKE UP - 8 AM" A moduled robotic sound disturbs my deep sleep. I extend my hands to the side table, picking up the alarm clock and turning it off. 'Just five more minutes' I suggest myself, feeling a hint of guilt, like I do every 'work day' mornings.
Collecting all my will power, I throw the blankets off my body and get up. 'Can't be late.' I whisper and walk into my bathroom for shower.
I'm yet to figure out what to wear for the day. This one problem, guess it'll never leave me. I am a business and finance manager working for one of the renowned pharmaceutical companies in the country. I am in-charge of my branch and I actually love my job but the responsibilites and the work load beats my ass, everytime.
This friday morning is a normal work day for me, it's nothing special. Well, that's not the case for my best friend, Valerie Morcos. She had a date with the love of her life last night. I'd be lying if I say that the guy doesn't know what he's doing, he has a way with impressing Val and that's a good thing.

Walking out of the shower, my hair dripping wet and my body leaving out a pleasant smell of vanilla, I head into my closet. I pick out a formal satin black shirt and a pair of light washed jeans. One thing I love about the 'Merck and Co.' was the flexibity, the rules are what we decide them to be and fortunately we chose to get rid of the dress code.
Drying my hair just enough to not wet my clothes, I move on to put the slightest bit of makeup and head down for breakfast. I live with my family; Mom, Dad and my siblings. I am the oldest one, I have a little brother and a little sis after him.
As I make myself comfortable on the chair, Mom gets me some banana pancakes with honey and berries. 'It must be a good day today.' I say in my head as I gladly eye my plate of breakfast.
I definitely love food.
"Honey! When did you get home last night? I have told you a zillion times not to over work yourself." Mom complains giving me a frustrated look out of worry.
"Oh Maa, I am sorry I forgot to give you a call. There was some problem in the accounting section and I had to pull off some extra hours. I will not do it again." I explain, trying my best to assure her. "And where is my lil bro today?" I look around but there's no sign of that crazy ass.
"He left for football practice early in the morning." Dad says. My brother finished his high school last year. He has alaways been really good at sports so he joined a club, I know it's for the best because he is happy.
After my breakfast, I rush out to the garage, wishing my family a good day. I'm about to leave when I get a call and it's Valerie. I turn the keys to start my car and put Val on speaker.
"N, what's up?" She speaks and I can sense the excitement in her voice.
"Just heading to the office. You sound so happy, Val. How was your date with Imad?" I question, driving out of the main gate.
