Seattle had fallen a victim to the most toughest phase a city could have in terms of economy. Employees losing their jobs, tycoons clinching to each other to stay at par with the doomed stocks, let's say this place wasn't the merriest to survive right now but things were fairly happy to go for Macy Henderson, a typical over achiever if I may with honors in business management studies and a gay best friend to keep her sane. She groggily woke up from a deep slumber, yawning her way into the morning.

She lazily made her way to the kitchen counter to grab a warm cup of coffee to kickstart her day. Moaning into the cup she mentally made a check list of what had to be done today and peeked into Josh's room who was still sound asleep. Lucky him, she thought to herself.

Macy had shifted to Seattle after her mother passed away leaving behind her a fortune enough to move on and start her new life here in this city. Her mother was a typically fancy, outgoing girl turned devoted wife who happily agreed to spend her life on a farm with her husband but secretly wanted her children to strive for more and weave extravagant dreams. Macy did just that, she was an intelligent graduate much overqualified for her job but then she liked the peace of subtle mornings and had turned accustomed to the regular faces at her office and what's more, it paid really well. It was then she had found Josh, her room mate as she longed for company at her 2 bed apartment in a quiet place by the industrial sector of the city.

A smile graced her lips as she reminisced the first time she had met Josh at a bar. She was down a couple drinks until she figured it was time to leave since she had an early morning meeting to attend to, just when she waved a hand in an attempt to grab a cab by the pavement she heard a hot blonde guy puke.

''Excuse me, are you ok'', she had asked to which Josh had immediately clung to her for help. Who knew that was just the beginning of her baby sitting him forever. She had handed him a bottle of water and seen him sober up and spill his guts to a stranger.

''Men are such asses right'', he said.

''Uh huh, tell me about it'', she nodded.

''So he gets me a drink, we kiss and I really thought he was into me, we grooved to our favorite song when a sexy woman comes and hugs him from behind and he just leaves, just like that without an explanation. 'Another time faggot' he shouts with a wink, such an ass hole right. Ugh, I always fall for the wrong men and look at me ranting in front of you'', he was sobering up.

''Hey we all can be a sucker for true love sometimes, you want me drop you home'', she asked.

''No girl, I cant go to my dorm like this'', he had shrieked. That's it the beginning of it all, she had taken him to her own flat and since then he had made it his home too. She loved having him around, her wingman, her confidante.

''Good Morning beautiful'', Josh smirked, disengaging Macy from her thoughts.

''Beautiful yourself'', Macy groaned as she dodged a pillow throw by him for her bath, the warm coffee long gone down her throat.

''Josh I am going for a ride at Steve's I've laid your breakfast down, the usual oatmeal and apple on the counter'', Macy ordered.

''Ok mother hen, I'm going to have a very busy day too'', Josh pouted.

The lush greens surrounding the trimmed riding track, the roughened wood fences basking in the scorching heat and the splash of blues decorated with fluffy white clouds around Macy reminded her of home.

''He looks uncared Steve'', Macy gently tamed the handsome horse, his luscious brown mane swaying with the wind, his hooves finding balance after their ride.

''Of course'', Steve mocked.

''I am not talking about you'', Macy shooed him away. Macy and Steve were good friends with their love for bright sunny mornings, English beer and Steve's Azkaban horse stable. Steve was in his early thirties, blue twinkling eyes and red colored hair made him one of a kind and what's more he was very fond of Macy as she would visit the stables during weekends, feed the horses, give them a shot and accompany Steve for a glass of cold beer.

''Yes, and it is because you don't come here too often these days'', Steve sighed like he had any other option to keep Macy back.

''Oh, Steve it's just because the annual meeting is round the corner and it's been taking a lot of my time. But I promise that once this is over, I will be here every weekend'', she consoled Steve like the darling she was. Macy cleaned herself up and made her way towards the exit of the stable with a goodbye and a hug to Steve.

''See you soon Macy'', Steve grinned.

The bright sunny morning, the warmth of the beer and the soreness from riding the horses did not last long as Macy was frantically sorting out files at her apartment for the meeting in an hour or so after she left.

She had changed into a grey fitted pencil skirt and white top with frills that delicately outlined her chest and a prominent collar bone.

''You sure about not passing out during the meeting with all that work load you are carrying on behalf of your lethargic boss'', Josh smirked.

Josh was big, muscular, handsome, perfect body and jaw guy for a girl who did not know he was gay. He was studying hotel management and assisting Marcello de Caviar, a famous celebrity chef in the downtown.

''Well that's not really true and if it was then you telling me that is very ironical at present'', Macy pointed out the slouched version of Josh on the couch.

''Well miss just so you know I have a day off after the charity event we hosted at the restaurant yesterday and I've got you pastries'', Josh rolled his eyes mockingly. Macy batted her eyelashes to show how pleased she was.

''Girl that wouldn't affect me'', he dramatically gasped placing a hand on his chest.

By the time it was 10 am Macy and Josh were good to go. He usually dropped Macy to work in his old, yellow beetle which Macy preferred to call the death wagon. Macy waved a goodbye to Josh as he disappeared into the traffic.
