You may not know this, but Abe was not a big Godzilla fan. All the destruction, the death, the screaming, the weird english translations. He couldn't stand it and didn't get the point. But as he swam away from the unknown terror hovering above them, holding onto Valo's hand for dear life. He definitely felt like he could relate to the movies a bit more personally. It was pure madness, creatures swimming in all directions, trying to find shelter or swim away where they could.

Everything was quaking around them, statues were falling over on their sides. People were falling over themselves, trying to keep their balance. As Valo and Abe swam their way through the crowd, a loud cracking sound broke through the screams. They watched as a statue of a Greek water nymph fell forward and someone let out a blood curdling scream and yelled something out in Latin. Valo looked through the crowd and her stomach sunk at the sight of a nymph child in the path of the falling statue. She pulls her hand out of Abe's before he can stop her and puts herself under the statue.

Abe yelled out to her, scared that now she was going to be the victim of the fallen statue. But instead found himself trying to hold his jaw up as he watched her not only catch the statue, but hold it up, arms fully flexed. She was so incredible, he thought and knew that cecaelia were supposed to be strong but not this strong. The statue was twice her size But he could see her arms were starting to shake and became nervous. Valo called out to the mother and the nymph quickly swam in and the wailing child in her arms.

Valo's arms were starting to shake and she didn't know if she had enough strength to toss it correctly. She had just rushed in and didn't have enough time to adjust her fingers to hold it. She was starting to feel it sleep and she closed her eyes, waiting for her grip to give and crush her. Abe saw her bending to the statue's will and swept through the small crowd made around her. He grabbed her around her middle and cradled her head into his chest, barely making it from the statue crumbling on top of them. They both lay on the floor, gasping for breath and not caring that people were still in a panic.

"Thanks Abe," she breathed, patting the side of his face. He took her hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze.

"No problem". The mother of the child swam over to them, grabbing Valo's face and kissing all over both of her cheeks and speaking hysterically in Latin. Latin nudged her away and said something to her in Latin, pointing away from them. The nymph hesitated but nodded her head and held her baby close to her, swimming off in the crowd of people. The child gave them both little waves as they disappeared in the crowd. Abe stands to his feet and helps Valo to hers, holding her close as another horrific cry echoed from behind the barrier.

They were almost stuck there, watching the fight raging above them. They could hardly believe what they were seeing, two large creatures, one with nine heads, a long tail, talons and an ear popping screech. The other was like a huge squid, tentacles everywhere and large yellow eyes. It's large suckers were large enough to lay in, Abe noted as it pressed against the barrier. The two creatures were tearing at each other mercilessly, purple and black blood splatter and run down the barrier.

"We need to go," Valo whispered, her eyes still on the fight while pulling Abe away. "Now"!

"What are those things," Abe asked. They both jumped at the combined screams of both monsters and Abe turned Valo around and started swimming. "You know, just fill me in later"!

"We have to get to a hotel, or something," she yelled over the crowd.

"I think that's everyone's plan"! Abe could see the people running off into buildings he assumed were hotels and started to feel a panic rise in him. He did not want Valo to be stuck outside while this was going on. The barrier seemed to be strong. But they could still hear and feel everything, but even worse they could see the monsters fighting each other.
