"I'm sure they are, but I'm not gay Josie" I giggled
You see, Josie was one of the girls out of the closet in our school, she's proud of who she is and who she loves. It's something I always admired about her
"I'm not pushing anything sweetheart, but you never know" she smiled
"There's Elena" I nodded in the direction of our friend
"Elena!" Josie shouted, the girl whipped her neck around and her eyes landed on us, a smile pulled across her face as she ran over towards us

"'Hi girls" she smiled widely and greeted us
"Where you been?" Josie questioned
"Cheer meeting, the team wanted to nominate another captain for next season" she sighed
"I hope those dumbassses nominated you" Josie retored. Elena's eyes met ours, she had a fake dissapointed look on her face
"Quit the bullshit and tell us" I said laughing
"How do you know me that well" she groaned
"We know when you're pretending, I know it better than others" Josie whispered lowly, a brush pulled across Elena's cheek. I couldn't help but chuckle
"I got nominated" Elena squealed, I laughed and hugged her tightly
"That's great, and I'm pretty sure you'll get that position" I said
"I don't wanna get my hopes up too high but ugh! I'm just so excited" she said with a bright smile
"Let me be the first to congratulate you on your position of head cheerleader" Josie said, I raised a brow at her
"I didn't win ye-"
"I don't give a shit, there's no way that position is going to anyone else. You're the most hardworking and passionate person on that team, if they can't see that then fuck em" Josie said.
I noticed a lingering look on Elena's face. She stared into the girl's eyes with a unfamiliar look, my eyes glanced down at their intertwined pinkies, Elena chewed her bottom lip as she shifted her focus away from Josie
"Thank you" she mumbled
"Anytime Princess" Josie whispered, the blush on Elena's face grew even brighter
"There's something fishy going on here" I said narrowing my eyes to the both of them
The girl's turned to face me, Elena quickly released her pinkies from Josie's. A dissapointed look quickly flickered over the girl's eyes but disappeared. Elena's lips parted to speak, but was interrupted by-
"Hey baby" a voice rang through my ear, I felt a sloppy kiss on my cheek and the smell of over sprayed axe filled my nostrils
"fucking disgusting" Josie said, she squinted her nose up in disgust as she looked at the boy
"What's your problem Joe!" my boyfriend yelled
"You, you're my problem and frankly you're your own problem" she said
"Huh?" the boy asked, Josie rolled her eyes and shifted her focus away
I sighed and turned around to face him, Jason's smile grew wide, his dark freckles spread across his cheek. His messy brown hair hung loosely over his face.
"Hi" I mumbled
"Hey babe, we still on for tonight?" she asked, I glanced at my friends, they paid no attention to my conversation with Jason. I sighed and turned back to face him
"I guess so" I mumbled
"Great, I'll swing by later" he said and kissed my cheek, he slipped away within a second and headed in the direction of his friends
"I don't know what you see in him" Josie groaned
"What's your problem with Jason either way?" I asked
"He's. Sleeping. With. Most. Of. The. Girls. In. The. Fucking. School. Beverly." she gritted through her teeth, I rolled my eyes
"There's no way Jason is like that" I said
"Are you trying to convince me or yourself?" she asked, I groaned and stared at Elena
"Do you agree with her?" I asked Elena, she glanced at Josie and returned her eyes back towards me, nervously biting her lips
"It's true Bev, I'm sorry but you really need to open your eyes and see that Jason isn't the guy you think he is" she said
My knuckles turned White from clenching my fist too hard, and gritted teeth formed an effort to remain silent, my hunched form exuded an animosity that was like acid - burning, slicing, potent. My face was red with suppressed rage. Jason's the only person that actually loved me in that way, he's never lied to me. Why would he even want to be with anyone else when I gave him everything that he needs?
"Stop, just stop" I said, I glared at them both before my feet took control
"Bev wait!" they called out from behind, my feet moved swiftly and navigated through the hallways, students pushed past me as they went on their way
"Beverly stop!" they yelled
The school's bell rang through the hallways, it vibrated against the walls. I pushed past the school doors and headed right into the parking lot. My hands found my keys in my pockets and I brought it out, unlocking the car quickly
"Beverly Hills, you will stop right now and talk to us" yes my name is Beverly Hills, how dumb of my parents.
I sighed and turned around to face them, my back pressed against my red ranger rover and I crossed my arms across my chest
"We're sorry if you're hurt by what we said, but there's no way we're taking it back. It's the truth Beverly, you should talk to him about it tonight" Josie said
"Bev, you know I wouldn't lie to you, especially about something like this. I know you care about him, but we've been trying to tell you this for a while now. Jason isn't that sweetheart you think he is when he's around you" Elena added
"Just please talk to him later, if you need help we'll gladly accompany you. It's been a long time since I've whooped a white boy's ass" Josie smirked, I broke down laughing. My hands fell down my to sides as I tilted my head back, allowing my laughter to echo through my throat
"Remember that one time when Chad tried to spank her ass? Then Josie whipped around and grabbed his balls. She squeezed it so hard tha-"
"He ended up in the hospital for a week, with a swollen ballsack and ice. Everyone brought him balloons shaped like a dick" I laughed
"Next time he'll think about the way he approaches a beautiful young woman" Josie said in a sassy tone and threw her hair blonde dyed locked to the side
"You're impossible, I swear to God" I chuckled
"And you're my best friend, I love you and I don't want to see you getting hurt" Josie said, her hand rested on my shoulder
"I love you too Joe" I smiled
"So are we good now? No more dramatic storming off?" Josie asked smirked, I shook my head smiling
