The rules of the game were simple enough.
Life was a game of touch and go.
Those who cheated were punished.
Those who didn't, waited in vain for a reward.
Those who laughed were humbled.
Those who cried were pitied.
Those who struggled, continued to.
Those who didn't, got nowhere.
The roll of the dice beckoned,
