I had fallen asleep in the infirmary. I woke up, still laying on the slightly uncomfortable bed as I felt every inch of my body aching, hurting. Getting into a sitting position, I rolled up my jeans, exposing my legs only to be met with the ugly sight of my wounded shins. The smooth skin was covered scratches and angry bruises that had flared up in colours of violent greens, purples, and reds. I knew that my neck looked the same, courtesy of Chanyeol, and then there was my arm. The wound was wrapped neatly in a bandage, but the infection could be seen through the white gauze as blood and pus had seeped through the thin material during the night. I carefully unwrapped it before redoing it and making my way to the door, opening it slightly before looking down both ends of the hallway, seeing no one anywhere.

Moving through the house, I couldn't help but be impressed by just how impressive everything was as the sunlight shone through the big windows, creating beautiful patterns on the floor as the light played with the shadows. I walked through the glass hallway once again as I peeked through every door, finding only offices, bedrooms, and lounge areas. Finally stumbling across a bathroom, I quickly scurried inside and locked the door behind me. Turning around, I was met with a room the size of my entire apartment, a big free-standing bathtub in the middle, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, a giant shower, chandeliers, and vanities. My jaw dropped at the sight, walking over to the tub and letting my hand glide over the edge in amazement.

I quickly stripped down, discarding my bloodied and destroyed clothes on the floor before turning on the water as I poured all kinds of different soaps in, watching with childish glee as bubbles started forming, getting dangerously close to the edge of the bathtub as the water continued to rise. Slowly getting in, I sat down and began washing away the blood, carefully moving over the bruised skin and doing my best at keeping my wounded arm dry, not wanting the water to ruin all of my hard work. I let myself lean back for a moment, feeling goosebumps travel across my skin as the bare skin on my back touched the cold surface of the tub, enjoying the feeling nonetheless. The last week had taken its toll on me, both physically and emotionally. I had been in danger ever since I accepted EXO's phone call, more than I could have imagined, but right now I felt completely safe and content as the warm soapy water enveloped my body. Washing away my worries, drowning the memories of Venice, Yeouido Park, and the pesky USB.

After finishing up, I wrapped a towel around my body before sneaking out into the hallway once again, my wet hair dripping on the floor as I left small pools of water in my wake. I searched a couple of different rooms before finally finding one that had a closet in it. A walk-in, at that. I let out a contented sigh as my bare feet touched the plush carpet, sinking into the softness as I enjoyed the small moment of comfort before sneaking around the room for a moment, trying to make out who lived here. Nothing. The tall windows were lined by heavy curtains to block out the light, every piece of furniture was either cream or white, making the room look bright and inviting. How ironic, considering it housed a criminal. I scoffed at the thought before walking over to the closet and closing the doors behind me.

Dark shelves lined the walls with suits, and leather jackets taking up most of the space. I still managed to find a pair of denim jeans that were ripped at the knees, frowning as I put them on and noticed that they were way too big for me. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with a belt, I thought. I also grabbed a white turtleneck sweater and some silver chains that I ran through the belt loops in an attempt to add some distracting details, averting people's attention from the bruises that could be seen through the ripped knees. Everything was a bit baggy, but it would have to do, for now, I decided. Making my way back out of the room, my stomach's dissatisfied growling was what reminded me that it was time to get a move on, trying my best to navigate through the house as I traced my steps back to the kitchen from last night.

Everyone was already gathered by the dining table, deep in a conversation that I decided I wasn't particularly interested in. If anything, they would probably fill me in later, now that they had dragged me into this world. Ignoring them, I walked over to the fridge and grabbed a carton of milk, shaking it for a moment to check whether or not I would need another one before rummaging through the cabinets in search for any kind of cereal, letting out a gasp of joy as I found my favourite one hiding in the back. Putting everything on the counter, I found a bowl and poured everything inside, munching on it before looking up and seeing that everyone was staring at me.
