Ava is Sick! pt 2 (Chapter 6)

Depuis le début

Rhys continued. "She has a steady pulse but.."

I finished his S̶a̶n̶d̶w̶i̶c̶h̶ Sentence. "But her body is incredibly hot."

"In more ways then one," I said under my breath.

"What Happened?" Rhys Questioned.

Peirce explained, then said something about a certain someone. "Leif!" Rhys said in a mad tone.

"I didn't kill her! I looked at her and she had that look on her face like somebody killed her."

Noi sniffed and I gave him another head Pat. "What if it was the spell pool?"

"It's.. entirely possible the spell pool had an effect on her." He turned to me. "My question is how come it didn't effect you, Princess (Y/N)?"

I shuttered. "Well, it was most likely because of the time we were in there with that temperature of water... And..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Flash Back~~~~~~~~~~~
"It's a perfectly fine day today, (Y/N). Go play outside."
I walked outside. It was very hot. It was like that often in the state that I lived.
"Daddy... It's too hot.. cam I come back inside?"
"NO. You will remain outside and play." Then he walked back inside.
I found some shade, which was rare. It didn't help much though. After a few hours, my mouth was dry and I had sweat so much that there was nothing left to sweat.
Another hour went by and he finally let me back inside. "Well, it looks like you had fun today! You'll do it tomorrow, too!"
I couldn't respond, I was setting up the shower at the coldest setting while drinking water that was mostly ice.
That occurred on my 4th birthday, and I nearly died like that every day until I was 15. It got hotter each time I went out.
~~~~~~~~~~~Flash Back End~~~~~~~~~~

I shuttered again. "L-let's just say I grew up learning to tolerate high temperatures like that." I honestly didn't want to get into it. Plus, based on how easily they'll turn on you, thanks for that Peirce, if I show emotional weakness, they'll throw me out in an instant.

I just need to hide it behind my 'positive' smile like I have my whole life.

"Listen. someone Put her in her bed. Leave off the covers."

I started to head to to kitchen when I saw Peirce approach her. "No no no, Mr. Douchebag!" I turned to Noi. "Cinnamon Roll. Please live up to your nickname and put Ava in her bed. Thanks!"

He smiled and complied.

"I'm going to whip up some soup for tomorrow if it lasts longer than that." I continued to the kitchen and did what I said I would do.

{Rhys' Pov}

I was rather curious. Why was Sorceress (Y/N) Being so Hostile towards Peirce? I looked over to see his reaction and could tell it caught him off guard, to.

Shortly after, Noi returned. "I did it!" He smiled.

I looked over to see the human lifting up a spoon to her mouth. I added she was doing what the humans call 'Taste Testing'.

"Why does she call you cinn-a-moan Roll, Noi?"

He shrugged. "I don't know! She said it was because-"

I cut him off. "Do you believe she has an attraction to you?"

Behind me, I hear her spit out the so-up. She mumbled something along the lines of "Damnit!" As she looked at her hoodie.

"I gotta go change. But before I do that, I need to confess something." She went up to Noi. Perhaps I was right?

"Noi, I..." She took a deep breath.

"I've claimed you. You are my cinnamon roll." Not quite what I expected.

"Wh-What?" Noi Questioned.

She pat him on his head. "You are my cinnamon roll. You are mine. I have claimed you. There is a bonus to this. Anyone who hurts you will suffer unimaginable pain."

She walked into her room like nothing happened.

"That isn't fair! How come Noi gets to be protected by one of the princesses?!" Asch asked in annoyance. "I'm gonna kill him-"

In a new outfit, Human Sorceress (Y/N) moved so fast it seemed like she teleported. Maybe she did? She apeared behind Asch.

"I don't think you wanna say that, 'Prince' pain in the ass."

I could see Asch felt shivers down his spine. I could see that we all did. We looked around and saw her happily making her so-up.

Fascinating!
