"Yes, I promise. Goodbye now, tiny brain. Love you too." Tae ended the call, laughing by himself in the car. He was on the phone with his younger sister, Yeonnie.

He stole her banana milk aka the love of her life last week and she was very upset. He promised her he'll give her something in return so she won't hate him. So that's how they promised each other to go to Lotte World this weekend. He promised he'll bring her, and she was excited about it too. She kept calling him to remind him so he wouldn't forget.

As much as he hates her, he still loves her dearly because she's his only family left. She's his dearest sibling, his mom, his best friend and his enemy too sometimes. They lived together for almost 4 years now. Their parents got divorced 4 years ago when he was 17, Yeonnie was 13 and left them alone.

They were so close and still are. They both love each other even though they never said it. Yeonnie is a great person. She's a good girl, a good friend, a good listener, and a good partner too. The siblings usually cuddle whenever one of them is sad.

After graduating high school, Tae studied in a law school and had just gotten a job as a detective in Seoul. Yeonnie and him were always into detective movies because it was just fun and thrilling to want to investigate something.

They both learnt codes together that sometimes when they wished to tell each other a secret message, they just gave each other codes so no one else would understand.

Yeonnie never invited a friend over their house, but Tae didn't mind. She kept telling him that she didn't like having her friends over anyway. However he always invites his friends over who are all boys. He trusted them to not do anything funny or stupid to his sister, so that's why only certain people were invited.

Anyways, Tae started the car engine and drove to work.

He whistled all the way to his office. Tae was in a good mood today unlike other days. Having a fun call with his sister in the morning had never made him unhappy. It always brightens up his day.

As soon as he reached inside his office, where his co-workers were at, he noticed they were all staring at the TV screen they had in their office. He was curious so he threw his car keys onto his table and went over to look at what the others were watching.

"... A young girl was found dead in her dorm room this morning, wearing her school's uniform that showed her school's logo and her name on it.

A call was received by the police from a girl who claims to be the victim's dormmate. The caller's name was Jade Kim who claims to have come back from the store only to find her dormmate passed out on her bed, with an empty bottle of pills in her hand and said that she was not breathing.

Jade Kim said the two were close friends who went to the same high school, Hansung High School."

"That's Yeonnie's high school." Tae thought.

"As written on the nametag of the dead girl, she was known as Kim Taeyeon."

"Yah, isn't that the newbie's sister who brought us food last week?" one of the co-workers whispered.

"If she is, I can't even imagine what Taehyung would feel after seeing this."

"Is he here yet- Oh my God, Taehyung..."

Tae was frozen in his spot. He didn't move, he couldn't move. He was stuck like a statue after hearing what the reporter had just said. After hearing his sister's name on the TV, reporting that she was...

dead.

Taehyung couldn't believe it. His co-workers finally noticed him behind them the whole time. They were shocked but also sad. However what they felt at the moment cannot be compared to what Tae was currently feeling.

"That can't be true... There must be another Kim Taeyeon in Hansung High." His lips trembled. He just couldn't believe it.

"There's no way. I was on the phone with her this morning. It can't be.." Without realizing, he was a crying mess. He wanted to know it's not his sister. He needed to know.

"Hey, Tae. Look, calm down-"

"NO!" Tae pushed his friend away, shaking his head. He didn't want to believe what he heard. He sobbed and took his car keys before running outside to his car.
