Nightmare snuggled closer to Dream, the cold wind biting at her face. Dream wrapped the yellow flag around the both of them without saying a word.

Dream let out a laugh and pulled Nightmare into a hug, accidentally giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Nightmare I will love you till the world ends, okay? There is nothing that will ever stop me from loving you!"
"Well...what if I turn into a tall, evil monster built on killing you? Will you love me then?"
"There is nothing that will ever stop me from loving you! Even if you want to kill me because I know no matter where you go in life Nights, you'll still care about me, even a little bit."
Nightmare laughed, placing her head on Dream's shoulder.
"Yeah, you're right Dream. I will care about you for as long as I live. No matter what."

"I HATE YOU!" Nightmare screamed as Dream narrowly avoided each tentacle.
"WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE!?" She screamed again, bring down all four of her tentacles down hard, not hitting anything.
"WHY THE HELL DO YOU STILL CARE ABOUT ME?!" Nightmare yelled again, more pain in her voice than anger.
"BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, IDIOT!" Dream yelled back, lowering her bow.
"Wh-What...?" Nightmare sputtered, more shocked than he's ever been.
"I've always loved you Nightmare! It's always been you! Every day I wake up because of you! And even if you deny it, the only reason why I still do what I do is because I know that you still care about me!"
"Dream..."
"I meant what I said all those years ago Nightmare! I'll never go back on those words! Never! I will love you until the words are crumbling down around us!"
Nightmare made her way over to Dream, unsure of what to feel. Dream placed a hand on Nightmare's cheek and smiled.
"I care about you so much...I love you."
"I-I...but why? I'm a monster. I'm a murderer."
"There is nothing that will ever stop me from loving you Nightmare. Nothing."
Nightmare bent down and wept into Dream's shoulder, very conflicted and very confused.
"I...I don't hate you...but I want to...I really want to hate you! But I can't...you're so stupid. Making me feel this way."
Dream smiled, "I know the feeling."
