We have to leave

Hiccup, Toothless and Astrid managed to hide from the village mob behind Astrid's house and caught there breath "we can hide Toothless in the cove for now" she suggested "they'll just find him there....no, we have to leave" he said "we?" Astrid asked him "he can't fly on his own, and I wouldn't want him to....I'm going with him Astrid" he said regretting what he just said

"But you'll come back right?" she said hoping for a good answer "yeah, eventually...when they all realise this didn't happen because of Toothless" he said giving her an apologetic look, Astrid but her lip and thought about what she needed to say before he leaves, but then she is snapped out if her thoughts when she hears the mob coming towards them

"You'd better go" she said, Hiccup nodded and mounted Toothless, he looked at her and when he did a tear slipped out his eye "goodbye Astrid" he said softly and with a few hard flaps Toothless was airborne and flew away into the dark cloudy night sky

Mildew and the village turned up at her house just as Hiccup was out of sight "where's that boy....and more importantly where's the dragon" he yelled at her, Stormfly saw all the commotion and ran to her riders side "I don't know mildew...but you got your wish, Hiccup and Toothless are gone" she scolded at him

Mildew growled and slapped her across the face making her fall to the ground holding her cheek "Stupid girl" he hissed as he turned around and walke awy with the villagers "find the NightFury, all of ya" he commanded, Stormfly helped Astrid back to her feat and have her a worried look "I'm okay girl, I've had worse before" she said, then a lightning bolt struck the village setting a cabin on fire "come home soon Hiccup" she whispered as she stared out to the sky and cried softly "I love you"

Hiccup and Toothless flew through the clouds and away from Berk, Hiccup looked at his home once more and sighed as the distance became further and further until he couldn't see the island anymore "there is only one place for a dragon like you bud" he said and as he looked up he saw that they had arrived at their new home "Dragon Island" he said with a smile

The island came closer and closer, they were almost in landing range, but then a flash of light and a rumble rattled their bodies, then a lightning bolt flashed next to Toothless scaring him and the second made him lose his balance and nearly went into a free fall but he steadied himself out, Hiccup gripped the saddle as hard as he could, then there was a rumble again and flashes in the clouds around them

Hiccup was very still as everything fell silent around him, all he could hear was the wind rushing past his ears and Toothless growling, then a huge burst of pain and agony went straight through his body as a lightning bold hit him, Hiccup screamed in pain as his body felt like it was burning at a thousand degrees

The lightning eventually stopped and the last thing Hiccup could remember was falling off Toothless' saddle towards the ground and then everything went black

Hiccup woke up to water on his face and a warm sensation next to him, he jumps up gasping and panting, he looks round and notices he is on Dragon Island, he flops onto the ground laughing "we made it bud, we did it" he said with little breath he had left

Toothless helped his friend up and took him over to a cave "this looks like a good place to camp for the night bud, what do you think?" he asked his friend, Toothless just gave him his usual gummy smile and purred "ill take that as a yes then" Hiccup chuckled and found a soft spot to lay down on to recover from the lightning that hit him

Since he woke up he couldn't help but notice he felt different in a way he could not describe, he felt stronger somehow and he could also feel something in his arms, hands and fingers, he kept on opening and clenching his fists trying to think what might be causing this strange sensation in his body

After an hours rest he decided to go for a little walk along the beach to clear his head a little, he looked around and he saw something that looked familiar, there was a huge pile of dry ash and broken bones around it, then a huge flash of light blinded his sight and suddenly he remember when he saw it, there was a huge crowd of people and then he saw his dad, Gobber, the other teens and Astrid at the front looking at the flashes in the clouds, then out of nowhere he saw Toothless and himself fly out if the clouds followed by the red death with a burning mouth, he watches as he and Toothless evade the ground but the red death slams into the beach and explodes

"So that's how it happened" he gasped and another bright flash blinded his eye sight again and he was back to the present "what was that?" he gasped at this sudden event, Toothless walked over to him and Hiccup patted his head "bud you're going to think I'm crazy for this but, I just saw a flash back of when we defeated the red death right over there" he said pointing to the pile of ashes and bones

Toothless growled and barred his teeth at the memory "hey, hey it's okay bud it's okay, I doubt the red death will ever come back again" he said scratching his head "Toothless gave him his gummy smile as he laughed with his huge tongue hanging from his mouth "come on let's go rest in the cave" he said and the duo walked into the cave and fell asleep

Back on Berk the villagers decided to call it quits on the search and just admit that Hiccup and Toothless left the island so ever one went home to their little huts and farms and went to bed, they had been searching all night for them and not a single sighting

When Stoick heard that the village called off the search he demanded he saw Mildew in his house at once and when he did he was a boiling point with him, in his house Stoick was pacing back and forth around the room waiting for the teens to get back from their search, Mildew was sitting nervously at the table not moving a muscle as he feared if e did the three hundred pound man might grind him to a pulp

Then there was a banging at the door and Astrid walked in with the other teens behind her "well did you find him?" Stoick asked anxiously but Astrid shook her head sadly "no sir we didn't, I'm sorry but he really has gone" she said softly hanging her head in shame

Stoick growled and slammed his fist on the table scaring Mildew "why'd you do it Mildew, just because you hate dragons you cause my boy and his dragon of causing all the destruction because Toothless is the off spring of lightning and death" he yelled at him "I didn't know what else to do Stoick" Mildew said cowering behind his staph "I was merely trying to protect the village" he said in his own defence

Stoick slammed his fist on the table again scaring everyone in the room "you do not decide how to protect the village Mildew, only the chief does and I am the chief, what ever I say goes, do you understand you old bag of bones" he screamed, Mildew continued hiding and nodded "get out of my home" he scolded and mildew ran away as fast as he could

Stoick sat in his armchair and placed his head in his hands sighing heavily "Astrid, go to all the islands closest to Berk with the others and search them as good as you can, he can't have gone too far" he said softly getting a block of ice and putting it on his head, Astrid nodded and went out the house with the other teens "okay Fishlegs, you and I will go to Dragon island while Snotlout, Ruff as Tuff, you three go to breakneck bog, if he isn't there I don't know where else he could be" she said and they all mounted their dragons and flew off in the direction of their assigned island

"Astrid what if we do find Hiccup, what are we gonna do?" he asked "persuade him to come home, he said when they realise that it wasn't Toothless causing all the lightning he will come home" she said hoping to find him soon

"Please Hiccup, come home...I miss you" she whispered under her own breath
