"Are you sure that's the reason? You seem a little pale." He glances again worriedly, but I just give his hand a comforting squeeze.

"I won't be okay if you take your eyes away from the road one more time Luke Barrington." I change the subject as he pouts, but reluctantly, he listens to what I say and doesn't give me another glance.

Well at least, none that I know of.

After about ten minutes, we arrive at school.

Luke parks in his usual spot before quickly turning the car off and getting out to open my car door.

Taking my hand to help me out, he playfully bows and says "Your highness" before giving me a quick peck on my lips.

He's so cute.

"Even though you do this every single day, you still manage to make me blush. How is that, Luke Barrington?" I ask him, scrunching my nose as he bops it.

"My charms, they are just irresistible." He interlocks his hand with mine as we make our way towards the school after Ally, who already took off way ahead of us.

"Why is she in such a rush?" He asks, swinging our interlocked hands back and forth.

"She mentioned yesterday that she had to meet up with her group for history to talk about their presentation before school started." I recall her telling me yesterday.

Soon we enter the school, heading towards the second floor where our friend group usually meets up.

"And here come the two love birds." I could hear Gianna's voice from the end of the hallway as a small smile forms on my face.

While on the other hand, Luke lets out a playful scoff at her words.

"That's a little rich coming from the girl who would make out with her boyfriend in the middle of the hallway all last year." Luke says, earning a glare from Gianna.

"Well hello to you too Mr. Grumpy Pants." Gianna says back, flipping her hair before giving me a smile.

There's not even a right way to describe Luke and Gianna's friendship.

Ever since the first time I've witnessed them in the same room together, I realized how much they enjoy bickering with one another.

And although I could tell that they were close friends like all of us and would do anything for each other, sometimes it gets hard being stuck in the middle all the time.

Sometimes I feel like a parent rather than a best friend and a girlfriend.

"Well I mean, I don't see you denying it so..." Luke smirks, as Gianna rolls her eyes.

"Guys, not again." Julie says. I look up to see her covering an annoyed Damien's ears, who desperately tries to pry her hands away from his ears.

"I'm not a baby." He whines, while Julie only shakes her head.

"You're too young to know what making out is." Julie says, causing Damien to pout, while giving up on trying to pry her hands away.

Smart kid, he knew that no one could win against Julie.

Especially her boyfriend.

"It's not my fault that Jake showed up extremely attractive to school every single day! You would do the same if you were me." She crosses her arms over her chest.
