~~~Sakura's POV~~~

"Naruto! Hey, you wanna go to the park?" I ask him with a huge smile on my face

It's Naruto's birthday and he probably thought we forgot, but we really have a party set up in the park

"Sure, Sakura-chan!" He says but I can see the pain in his eyes and the fake smile on his face

"What happened?" I ask as I lead the way to the park

"What do you mean, I'm fine." he says and "smiles" again

"No you're not, I'm your best girl-friend, almost like a sister to you and you think you can hide the pain in your eyes with a fake smile?" I stop and turn around looking him dead in the eyes

"Sakura..." he looks surprised I noticed the pain at all

"Please Naruto tell me." we stop and sit on the bench near the entrance to the park, the same bench Sasuke left me on

"How did does feel when you see this bench?" He asks

I was so thrown off guard I don't notice someone watching in the background

"Urm...well sad, lonely like something crucial is missing, nostalgic, determined, and I don't know hopeful. Why?"

"Because it's near to when Sasuke left and my birthday is today and I saw kids getting cakes with their parents and I feel sad and empty and worthless, a waste of space, a waste of air, unneeded, unwanted...!" I stop him by wiping his tears away and hugging him

"No you're not! Your our friend me and Sasuke's and right now we both need you, two times for Sasuke. You have to bring him back, I can't he doesn't care for me. Only you and how would he feel if his best friend the last person he cares any thing for killed himself over some thing so stupid and blind! We love you, I love you, you are my brother, my friend, MY shoulder to cry on. And I'm yours. You EVER feel like this again and I promise with every fiber in my being I will chase it away."

When I'm done with my speech, he looks like he's just heard something he's wished for his while life. Love and being wanted and needed

"Thank you Sakura-chan and Sasuke does love you too." he wipes his tears and his eyes have that familiar happiness in them and we hug again

"Please it's okay Naruto I learned long ago Sasuke doesn't love me like I love him. All I can do for him is to keep you happy and safe." I wipe my own tears, get up and grab his hand

"Now come on I have a surprise for you."

~~~Sasuke's POV~~~

I get to Konoha on Naruto's birthday and start towards the Hokage office but a pair of voices stop me

"Sakura..."

"Naruto, please tell me."

'Naruto and Sakura!'

"What do you feel when you look at this bench?"

I get behind them but stay hidden. When I hear the question from Naruto I tense and wait for her answer.

"Urm...well sad, lonely like something crucial is missing, nostalgic, determined, and I don't know hopeful. Why?" When I hear her say that I feel my heart jump and deflate at the same time for causing her so much pain
