Sasuke's pov
"Hello?!" I yell into the darkness that I'm surrounded in
"Hello!!! Can anyone hear me?!!!" I yell again looking around for anything
On the right hand side of the dark room I see a crack of light. As I walk or rather float towards I notice it's actually a door.
"Hello..?" I whisper as I open the door
It my parents room!
'Not this again!' Thinking it was the same dream I've had since the massacre, but... There's something wrong
My parents there not on the floor bleeding...
Itachi isn't even in the room...
Only Sakura
"Sakura?! What are y-" I start walking towards her but a man in a mask appears behind her with a kunai and I notice tears flowing from those beautiful, but distraught emerald eyes.
"Who the hell are you? Let her go!!" I yell at the intruder daring to hurt my teammate
"Sa..Sasuke..." She shakily whispers while staring at me with scared, pleading eyes
"It'll be okay." I reassure her
"Help me...!" She cries out
"Don't take a step or she dies!" Threatens a deep, gravely voice
I take out my Katana and activate my sharingan.
"I said Let her go now!!!!" I demand giving the hardest and coldest glare I can make
He takes the kunai and slightly pushes into her skin making her whimper as her neck starts bleeding steadily
"Drop the weapon boy!" He roars
'Dammit...' I think as I put my katana on the ground in front of me
"Now let her go!" Please
He does and as we both take a step towards each other...
Just three more steps!
Arms raised
'I got you come on one more!' I think touching her fingers
*SPLAT*
Her face so relieved and happy to see me twisted into one of extreme pain and terror
The smell hit me before the substance itself did
'Blood!'
"Noooooo!!!!!" I scream as she falls forward into my arms
"Why did-"
"Pathetic!!! You think you can protect her?!" He bellows
"Sasuke..." She mutters while reaching up and touching the side of my face with a bloodied hand
"Sakura! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I couldn't protect you..." I say while rocking her back and forth. Brushing my fingers down her hair and not caring that I was crying.
"It's okay Sasuke-kun. It's not your fault." She says smiling, while I break down at her calling me the same nickname as she did when we were genin.
"Yes it is! I couldn't-" she cuts me off by kissing me then smiles again
"I'm just happy that you're the last thing I'm gonna see..." She admits
"No no no no, Sakura! Stay awake! Please I can't lose you too!!! Please!" I whine as I continue to rock her
"Take care of Naruto and Kakashi-sensei..." She pleads closing her eyes
"No! Open your eyes, Sakura! Please..." She doesn't move
"Please..." I beg. Pleading I can see those orbs once more
Sadly I got what I wanted when she opened them saying her last words that shook me to the bone
I love you? Nope it was the same two last words I told her when I left
"Thank you." She whispers looking at me with eyes full of love
And I watch as the love of my life slips away, her eyes dulling in death.
Her hand falls and her face goes lifeless
"S..sakura..." I stammer holding her as if her body would reboot and she would be completely fine
"Foolish boy." I hear the voice say but I pay no mind. Not even as he disappears into thin air
I just continue to hold her, petting her hair, rocking her, pleading for her to return to my side once more
"Please come back...
"I need you.." I weep
----end of dream----
"Sakura!!!!" I yell sitting up in my bed
"It was just a dream? But it felt..."
Right then Itachi busts through my door with a shocked expression on his face
"Sasuke! What happened?!!!" He asks
"Sorry, bad dream.." I answer
"Oh okay.. You alright?" He inquires
"Yeah.." I say brushing back my bangs
"Sakura, huh?" He smirks
"Out!" I shout while blushing and pointing towards the door
He just chuckles and heads back to bed but before leaving he turns and says
"We can visit her tomorrow if you like?" Still smirking might I add
"Hn."
"Haha okay get back to sleep. You don't want her to see you in such a state right Otōto?" He joked then leaves
I head back to sleep with a smile on my face
'I'm gonna tell her tomorrow. And I will protect her even if it costs me my life!' I think before falling into a dreamless sleep.
