I rubbed my dry eyes and slapped my cold cheeks. Swinging my stiff legs over the edge of the bed I made contact with the cold wooden floor I let out a sharp yelp, quickly pulling my feet away.

"Fuck that's cold" I breathed as the warmth of the morning sun streamed through the closed window and wrapped my freezing body with it's warm embrace.

I turned my head over to the bed on my right spotting the familiar coloured blue hair pocking out from the top of the covers, "Hey Yukira?" I tilted my head to get a better look, "YUKIRA?" She let out a yawn then waved her hand in the air to make me shut up. "Yukira we're gonna be late" I grumbled, forcing myself to stand up and shift my rigid feet towards her bed.

"Yukira."

"Tch, I'm sleeping"

"Unless you want commander Shadis to make you run 20 laps, I suggest you get up."

"Fuck off" She mumbled, pulling the covers over her head and pushing me away with her outstretched hand.

"Fine fine, be late." I said, walking towards my uniform and boots, "Its the balancing test today, if your not on time, you'll be sent to the farm."

With those words Yukira's eyes shot open, "UUrrrgggg FUCK MORNINGS"

~Time skip~

I watched nervously as Mikasa perfectly balanced on the Training gears, she didn't even wobble at all.

Why are you worried Mira? You're great at this remember? You did it all the time when- w-when... Mum and Dad where alive...

I dug my nails into the soft skin of my sweaty palms.

"MIRA YASUKI!" Shadis screamed, "STEP FORWARDS!"

I tried to keep my cool as I stepped forwards and clipped my harness to the weird straps.

"ARE YOU DONE?" Shadis shouted,

"Yup" I said monotone, I was too focused on looking at my boots to care.

"THEN PROCEED CADET YASUKI!"

I felt my body lift off the ground and by instinct I streatched my hands out to my side and leaned forwards, but at the same time I made sure the same amout of weight was leaning backwards.

I heard mumbles in the crowd of cadets,

"She's a natural"

"How does she do that?"

"Pfft show off"

Before I knew it I was settled back onto the ground, I wiped the sweat off my brow and let out a sigh of relief. Thank god that was over.

Hours passed and I saw numerous amounts of cadets fail and pass, each one had a special tactic of their own.

Soon I grew bored of watching countless amounts of people struggle to balance on the training gear, "Hey Mira!" I heard a cheery voice pipe up behind me, I swiftly jerked my head towards the sound. "Oh hey Armin." I mumbled, looking at my shoes, paying no attention what so ever.
