Anxiety

Tomorrow, I'm going to school for the first time in a year. Last time, I got bullied terribly. But maybe since I actually enjoy living now, it won't be as bad.
I've already laid out my outfit, a delias butterfly top with a plaid purple skirt and mary jane shoes. My school supplies are packed and I'm ready to go.
Right now, I'm watching My So-Called Life reruns with Courtney. I just got out of the shower, my hair is washed, I feel good, except I'm extremely nervous.

"I remember when this show came out a few years ago. It was a little after Kurt passed." Courtney chuckled while we watched TV.
  "I wish I could've met him." I said.
"Me too. He would've liked you a lot." She responded.
"So, you're starting your senior year of high school tomorrow!"
  "Yay." I laughed sarcastically.
"Oh, it'll be great! You're so gorgeous and smart, I bet everyone will wanna be your friend. And, your senior year is the most fun." She exclaimed.
"I hope so. I guess I still just see myself as the weird girl who gets teased." I mumbled.
"I used to be that girl. That kid who smelled like pee in elementary school." She chuckled, "But I've definitely overcome that. I'm recording music now and basically a celebrity. Things get better, Mona." Courtney pat my shoulder.
"Thanks." I wiped a tear from my eye.

"Well, it's nearly 10 o'clock. You should get to sleep so you're not tired on your first day of school."
  "Okay, goodnight." I yawned.
We hugged and she kissed my forehead.
  "Sweet dreams!"

In bed, I felt a mixture of excitement and fear. Maybe things will be great like Courtney said, or there's always a possibility they'll be how school used to be for me.
