Chapter 9

4 hours later....

Tessa POV

It's about six o'clock and I start to prepare dinner. Hardin has been sleeping for, four hours and I have been taking care of little addy by myself. I walk in the bedroom with addy in my arms and set her next to sleepy Hardin. Addy touches Hardin face and he groans

"Wake up Hardin you've been sleeping for four hours!" I tug on his shoulder

He sits up rubbing his eyes and addy climbs on his lap playing with his hands. It's the most adorable-ist thing ever and makes me happy to think that in a couple of months we will have a baby of own

Hardin gets out of bed holding addy. He's always so soft when he's near her, he definitely has came a long way since the day I have met him

"Im going to make pasta, is that ok with you" I caress his shoulder and I notice his pants getting tighter from my simple actions

"Ya that's fine" he clears his throat

I walk to the kitchen and prep the ingredients. Hardin is in the living room watching a children's show with addy

After I finish making dinner I call for Hardin telling him that dinner is ready. He walks in the kitchen addy in his arms and places her on our new high chair that we got for our baby. We continue to eat our food and clean the mess Abby made on the high chair

"Addy you got food all over your face baby, I think it's time for you to take a bath" I say in my baby voice. Hardin always teases me whenever I talk that way but I simply ignore him

I pull addy out of the high chair, "Hardin can you wash the dishes I need to give addy a bath" I look over to him who is on his phone

"Sure" he looks back at me and addy and looks back at his phone, I roll my eyes and head to the master bathroom to start the bath, I make sure to add only a little water for safety reasons. I have always been the only child so giving a baby a bath is a first

I set her down and she immediately plays with the toys I set for her. I grab the shampoo and conditioner and carefully wash her short curly hair

Addy splashes the water causing it to get all over my face and shirt making me squeal " addy don't do that or you'll get me even more wet" I laugh at her big smile

I finish giving addy bath and wrap her in a towel picking her up. Hardin walks in looking at the two of us with a big smile. "Can you give me the black bag it's in the living room, it has all of addys clothes" he walks out and I lau addy on our bed tickling her hearing her laughter fill the room. Hardin finally come back with the bag and I put on a cute cloud pj set to wear

"Is she going to sleep in the crib?" Hardin wraps his arms on my bump from behind laying his chin on my shoulder

"Ya but I feel like she should sleep with us"

"How there's no place for her to sleep" I glare at him

"She Can sleep in between us"

"But then I won't be cuddling you and our baby"he pouts. My heart swells of him mentioning our baby making me tear up. These hormones are no joke

"Shit sorry did I say something bad" he wipes the tear of from his thumb

"No I don't know I'm just emotionally" I sniff

addy yawns and I can't see that her eyes are getting heavy

"I'll just put her in the crib, the room is right across ours anyway" I carry her into the nurse and lay her down. I even giver her the hand knitted blanket Karen mailed to us from the last miscarriage

I hear Hardins footsteps coming behind me, I feel his hand on the side of my waist pulling me to face him

"Your always so good to her, I know your going to be the best mum for her" he whispers

"Her? We don't know what the gender is yet" I question

"I just have this feeling it's going to be a girl" he looks into my eyes then down to my bump, his hands glides around my bump making me smile. I yawn from my lack of sleep and Hardin notices

"Let's go to bed love" he grabs my hand and leads us to the bedroom. I head to the closet to change into pajamas that I can fit into, I will definitely need to buy new clothes

I walk back to the bed, Hardin is already under the covers, I lay on the bed trying to get comfortable. Hardin moves closer filling the space between us, his arm rubbing my belly. He has been so attached to me ver since I told him i was pregnant and its the cutest thing

"Goodnight I love you" he breaths in my neck

"Love you" I give him a kiss on his cheek

Hardins POV

I wake up in the middle of the night hearing addy crying in the nursery. I lay up and look over to Tess who is peacefully sleeping. I get up and walk to the nursery, addy is sitting up crying. Her hands raise up and I carry her into my arms. Her sobs stop and I proceed to cradle her back to sleep. After her eyes slowly close I place her back in the crib and look around the room. The room is plain light grey with little toys Karen mailed us

I look over the dresser and see pictures of Tessa, she wanted to take pictures of her bump every month to see for progress, and I'm not going to lie it's fucking adorable. Her smile is so bright and genuine

I walk back to the room and move my body towards her. She's laying on her back so I lay my head on the crook of her neck

"I love you" I whisper on her neck, I can feel her smiling, I kiss her neck and drift to sleep.
