Friday, May 15th, around 9:45 pm

"Ah!" yelped Night as she nearly got swallowed by a shadow for the fifth time. Aspen and she were trying to watch a movie at their sleepover but Night kept getting swarmed, lifted into the air, and pulled in by the shadows. It'd been happening since Night was 11. She thought to the shadow fiercely "Stop!"

The shadow pushed her onto the couch and Night gasped with relief that the order had worked.

"Ni, are you alright?" Aspen, Night, gentle friend, asked as her face scrunched in worry.

"Yeah," Night settled onto the couch.

Monday, May 18th, around 7:25 am

"Another boring and horrifying day at school," Night grumbled.

"Aw, cheer up!" Aspen tried to help.

"Y'know, this day feels really ominous like somethings' gonna happen," Night commented dully.

"Let's hope not," Aspen sighed.

Around 1 pm

"Ugh, why is-" Night broke off to run to the next tree. "-this dang wind so harsh?!?"

"I know!" Aspen yelled.

"Sorry!" A faraway voice yelled. "stay still!"

"Who's there?!?" Night growl-yelled.

"Don't shoot!" another yelled.

"Or attack!" a third chimed in.

"So who are you?!?" Night screamed.

"No time!" two pairs of hands shot out and pulled Aspen and Night into a.... chariot?

"I-is this," Aspen sputtered "A chariot?"

"Yeah," a dark-haired boy with sea-green eyes swerved the chariot around and... wait. They were going up?!?

"Why are we-" Night stopped short as she saw what was pulling them. "Pegasus?"

"Yeah," a scrawny boy leaning on the railing said. He turned and craned his neck over the chariot "Coast clear, Jason," he said to the last boy

"Good," the boy named Jason said "Percy, full speed ahead!"

The boy controlling the chariot-Percy-nodded grimly. "Night, Aspen, sit tight. We'll explain at camp,"

Night shook her head in bewilderment. What was happening?

"We here yet?" Leo-the scrawny boy-asked Percy.

"Just a little." Percy pointed down and Night saw a camp filled with lots of kids.

"Is that the camp?" Aspen asked.

"Yeah." Jason nodded. Percy dove the chariot.

Skreeeeeeeetchhhh!!!!!! the chariot skidded then stopped right in front of a pine tree with what looked like.. a dragon!

"Is that...." Aspen pointed to the dragon.

"Yeah, the dragon's guarding the Golden Fleece." Leo said.

"Golden Fleece?!?" Aspen asked, gasping.

"This is no ordinary camp." Came a voice behind the group. "Welcome to Camp Half-Blood."

Night whirled around, nearly gasping as she saw who'd just spoke - a centaur!

"Yes, I am a centaur." The centaur said. "Chiron."

"Come on," Leo walked up the hill, and Night and Aspen followed. As they crossed what seemed to be the border, everyone turned their heads and gasped as something above Night glowed. She looked up, and saw what she recognized as a picture of the Helm of Darkness!

"N-Night," Aspen stuttered.

"Night," Percy looked back up at the picture then at her. "You've been claimed."

Another kid stepped forward, a little taller and older then Night. "Night, you are a daughter of Hades."

Sorry for the short chapter! Should I try to make the next one longer?
