The Elementals: The Beginning

The Creation of the Heroes

It is the year 1963 and it begins with the elemental hero's father, Dr. Elemental. His main goal was to perfect his work in changing the world for the greater. He wanted a superhero. But not just one, four. He has been working for years trying to create the power source for each of these powers.

It is now 2003 and his work is nearly complete. "I have finally completed my stones," said Dr. Elemental, "Now I just need to find the right people for it". He goes out and advertises on some streets and some more public places such as stores, parking lots, and malls for a worthy enough person to try his experiments. After many people came up and got turned away, one person stood out to him. "He's perfect," said Dr. Elemental, " I just need to get his attention, but how?"

Dr. Elemental flips a switch that begins to glow his stand. The boy looks over and asks "Hey, what's all this? You selling these cool looking rocks?". "They are not for sale, but they are available for testing" explained Dr. Elemental, "I am Dr. Elemental and you are the perfect test subject for my experiments, would you care to help me?". "Sure, I'll help you, but what is it we have to do? Does it have to do with these rocks and will it be painful?" "It will most likely not kill you, but since you're so willing to be the test subject lets go!" said Dr. Elemental very happily.

Dr. Elemental and the boy return to his secret facilities to prep for the tests and experiments. "What is your name boy?" asks Dr. Elemental. The boy responded with, "Dustin. Where are we exactly?" "We are in my secret facility. I've been doing experiments for a big dream I've had ever since I was 10 years old," replied Dr. Elemental. "I have gathered you and three other kids around your age, which is?" asked Dr. Elemental. "I am 17" replied Dustin. "Ah then yes, the other people are around. Come in here, they're in here" said Dr. Elemental. "In here we've got Julia, she's 16, Baker, he's 18, and Sofia, she's 17. Guys this is Dustin, he is 17. He is the final person I needed for the experiments to begin" explained Dr. Elemental, "I have gathered you as test subjects, all for the same reason, you found big interest in my "rocks". These rocks are more special than you think. They are elemental rocks. I have worked on them for many years and have always dreamed of creating elemental superheroes". Everyone jumped up in excitement. "I've always wanted to have elemental power!" screamed Julia. "Dude, I've been dreaming for this moment for years!" yelled Baker. "I'm very glad I decided to give you the time Dr!" exclaimed Dustin. "I'm so excited to try this out!" yelled Sofia. "I'm very glad you're all very excited. These stones contain an elemental power. Julia, I'm going to have you become the water elemental, Typhos. Sofia, you'll be receiving the air element and going by the name Zephyr upon activation. Baker, you'll become the earth elemental, known as Aspen. And last but not least, Dustin. You'll be the fire elemental, going by the name of Vulcan upon activation." explained Dr. Elemental.

Dr. Elemental led them into a room with four chambers. He guided each of them into the corresponding chamber according to the strength of the glass. "Dustin, this chamber is for you, the glass is fireproof. Upon completion of receiving your eventual power, you'll receive a custom suit that can withstand the heat of the sun. Julia, you'll enter this chamber. The glass can withstand water pressure of 1,000,000 tons, and you'll receive a custom suit that can help you to breathe under the deepest ocean. Baker, this chamber belongs to you. The glass is super durable and unbreakable to prevent any power from escaping. Afterward, you'll receive a suit that can help you break through anything in your way, dig through any terrain, and control the power of the earth. Finally Sofia. This chamber has a very durable and unscratchable glass. You'll receive a suit that can allow you to flow through any speed of wind you can imagine as if it's nothing."

Everyone steps into their chambers. Once they are all in, Dr. Elemental seals them off and connects the corresponding elemental stone to each chamber. He then flips the switch that sends through all the power from the glowing red stone of fire, the calming blue glow of water, the clear crystal glow of air, and the cool brownish blue glow of earth. Once the stones had completely lost color and faded into a greyish color, Dr. Elemental powered off the chambers, opened the doors and watched as his test subjects walked into the room.
