"Thank you. I'll be back." She spoke, turning on her heel as she walked the opposite way down the hall. You didn't question her but watched her in silence, feeling guilty you couldn't do more for her like she'd done for you. Just then Sherlock's eyes snapped open and he scanned his surroundings before they landed on you.
"We're going to need maps, lots of maps... all the maps." He spoke, taking the steps down two at a time. You watched him, nodding.
"Right, the journey for the trains... how long does that route typically take?" You questioned, not knowing yourself.
"Five minutes, that one took ten. Hence the maps." He gestured and you nodded in response, thinking.
"There was something else about the cars... the tube was different when it arrived at St James Park." You envisioned the videos once more before you looked to Sherlock. You shook your head, dropping the topic as you thought about Molly. "Anyway, we can talk about that later. Sherlock, talk to Molly. And thank her, somethings off..." You looked to where Molly had disappeared, thinking.
"I know, I'll talk to her." Sherlock nodded. You looked at him in surprise. It was that simple? You didn't think he'd notice just like you hadn't until Molly brought anything up. Being on a case with you and Sherlock was just too much for her with her past history with Sherlock. You could see that.
"Okay..." You scanned his face looking for anything that might be wrong as his expression changed. He looked calm as he folded his hands behind his back, looking down at you. "You okay?" You added. He nodded, giving you a smile before he pecked you on the lips to prove to you he was fine.
"Wait outside, I'll be there in a few." He told you. You looked at him a moment longer before you turned, heading out the door.
It was a cold winter's day and snow was slowly falling from the sky, powdering the streets below. You could see your breath sailing through the air as you stepped out the door and you watched as your breath trail was pulled away with the wind. Taking a few steps towards the street, you leaned against the fencing to wait for Sherlock.
A few moments later, Sherlock emerged through the door, reaching his hand out for yours as he approached you. You intertwined your fingers through his, making your way down the road.
"How'd it go?" You tried not to be too inconspicuous as you gave him a sideways glance. He squeezed his hand in yours and you saw he had a faint smile on his face. "Well, I'm guessing it went good."
"Fancy some chips?" You looked up at him as you continued walking down the road together, hand in hand.

Once you made it back to the flat, you and Sherlock talked over chips, putting the case out of mind just for a few.
"So I've been thinking..." You looked up at Sherlock as you plucked up a chip, holding it between your fingers. He looked up at you, wondering where this was about to go. "I want to apply for that job that Mark mentioned."
"Why?" Sherlock looked at you with narrowed eyes, putting down the chip he previously had in his hand.
"I miss the work... plus we need money if we're going to actually pay rent." You told him, plopping the chip into your mouth as you leaned back in your chair. Sherlock studied you, he obviously had thoughts bouncing around in his brain. He silently looked out the flat's window to avoid your eye contact.
"Not because of Dr. McClendon..." He trailed off his eyes landing back on you. You couldn't help but laugh at that statement.
"No, Sherlock. Not because of Mark. He's a fine doctor, but not my type. I prefer moody sociopaths." You chuckled as Sherlock shot you a look at the 'moody' part. "You know I'm rather fond of you." You reached across the table to touch his hand and he rolled his eyes at you, giving you a smile anyway.
The flat's door slammed open downstairs and you shot Sherlock a look, hearing yelling as someone made their way up the stairs. You stood, hurrying over to the doorway to see Mary with a very worried look on her face.
"Mary? What's the matter?" You questioned. She looked at you out of breath as she quickly entered the flat, pulling out her phone. Sherlock was immediately by your side, looking over your shoulder as Mary showed you messages she'd received on her phone.
"Someone sent me this. At first I thought it was just a Bible thing, you know, spam, but it's not. It's a skip-code." You looked at her a moment, wondering how she knew that. She held the phone towards you and you scanned over the words. Save souls now! John or James Watson?
"First word, then every third. Save John Watson." Sherlock read, scanning over the message. Mary quickly swiped to show you the next message. Saint or Sinner? James or John? The more is Less?
"Saint James the Less..." You turned to give Sherlock a look, this was not good.
"Now!" Sherlock went into motion as he hurried down the stairs, exiting the flat. You dashed after him, Mary right behind you.
"Where are we going?" Mary asked, nervously looking at you and Sherlock.
"St James the Less. It's a church!" You told her.
"But it's twenty minutes by car. Did you drive here?" Sherlock yelled as he ran out onto the street, turning in circles as he looked around.
"Er, yes." Mary frowned. That would be way too slow, there was no way you could make it in time.
"That's too slow..." Sherlock mumbled as he paced in the middle of the street. An approaching car swerved around him and blared its horn on the way past. You looked at him, scanning the street.
"What are we waiting for?" Mary yelled, looking at Sherlock in the middle of the street. You looked down the road and saw what Sherlock was looking for.
"This." Sherlock yelled as he held his hand out, stopping a couple on a motorbike. Sherlock somehow convinced the couple to let him borrow the bike, and he threw on a helmet glancing at you.
"Y/n, John might need a Doctor." He looked at you seriously, looking in between you and Mary. There was only enough room for two of you on the bike.
"No, it's okay. Take Mary, call an ambulance if you need them. They'll be faster." You told him, ushering them onto the bike. Sherlock looked at you a moment before he hopped on the bike, Mary behind him. "Stay safe!" You yelled at him as he took off down the street on the bike. You sighed, watching them go. You just hoped they'd make it in time.
