F O U R - Is It A Date

"Whatever Myles. Don't act like you don't enjoy all the attention.." Tyson muttered, probably hoping I wouldn't have heard.

"Shut up, Ty! Dad was sick, & mum was stressed. She knew she had a house to maintain, & 3 kids to look after, plus all the medical bills? Please don't get shitty at me for taking this job, when you know what my true intentions were." I retorted, earning a rather surprised expression from Tyson. I knew I should have stopped talking, & just forgotten about his stupid little comments, but that's when it got to me, & I couldn't stop.

"Do you think I like this life?? Do you really think I wanted to quit the competitive dance team? Do you think I want to be at the recording studio all hours of the day, writing & recording music?! Do you really think I enjoy that I don't get to see my family, or spend time with you all?! Do you think I like that to go to the mall, I have to go in a stupid disguise?!" I shouted, feeling my blood boiling.

"Myles, hang on. Calm dow-" Tyson started, but I cut him off again. I was fuming.

"I'm too scared to even make a new friend, because I can't tell them exactly who I am! Briar doesn't deserve someone like me. Someone who's got all these secrets, & is going to lie to her about his personal life." I shouted, breaking down on the last few words. I felt the tears burning my eyes, & I had to try desperately to hold myself together. If I didn't leave RIGHT NOW, I'd have the biggest melt down of my life.

"Myles, you don't have to do this alone!" Tyson explained, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder, but I shrugged it off.

I grabbed my jacket, barging straight past Tyson, out the door. I had my keys in my pocket, so I just needed to drive to the recording studio, & everything would be fine. Except I didn't feel like writing music... I felt like dancing. So that's what I was going to do.

(Briar's POV)

An hour later, 7:00am.

I walk into CDC (Canadian Dance Company), with Logan on my left, & Vic on my right. We were deep in conversation about one of the lifts in our group number, when Julian came running towards me from Studio A.

"Hey, you!" I said, messing his hair up, as he lifted me up, spinning me in a full circle, before placing me down, causing me to erupt into a series of laughs & giggles.

"Hey, BB!" Julian greeted, jokingly. You see, Julian & I had a history. We certainly weren't proud of it now, but his nickname for me, was going to forever remain as 'BB', so yay me.

"Hi Jul, we're here too!" Both Vic & Logan joked, however, Vic looked genuinely annoyed, whereas Logan found it funny.

"Yeah, hi." Julian replied, knowing it would annoy Vic, & it did.

"Why are you so excited, anyway?" I asked curiously.

"Didn't you hear? They're pairing people up for the group number, & Alain said you & I, are a duo. Isn't that great?" Julian said, still seeming pretty pleased that him & I got paired together. Julian loved dancing with me, because we both challenged each other quite a lot, which was a good problem to have.

"That's really cool, Jul!" I replied, feeling rather excited for it myself. That's when I heard it.

I could hear a faint sound of music, but didn't know where it was coming from. I turned a corner, & it got louder.

While walking past Studio C, I saw a guy dancing in there. He was tall, muscular, with brown hair. Something seemed familiar about him, but he was facing away from, so I couldn't tell who he was.
