The key

After a while of talking to the hostages we split up. I went with Denver and Moscow, Oslo and Helsinki, Nairobi and Berlin and Tokyo with Rio. Everyone was assigned to do something.

Me, Moscow and Denver had to open a vault. Well, Moscow was opening the vault while me and Denver had a chat.
"How are you feeling" Denver asked me
"Pretty confident. How about you?" I said
"I don't know to be honest. I worry about a lot of things" he stated
"You shouldn't. That's the key" I advised him
"Don't you worry about yourself? A lot of things could happen here." He said
"I sometimes do. But I try not to think about it" I said truthfully
"Well I don't only have to worry about myself. I worry about my dad and" he took a breath
"And you" he continued
"You shouldn't." I said quickly
There was silence. We stayed like that for a couple of minutes and then he opened his mouth and asked
"Remember that party?" He asked me.
I was really confused with the sudden question so I asked
"What party?"
"The one me, you, Tokyo, Rio and Nairobi hosted at the house" he said
Then it got to me. I remember damn well what party he is talking about.

3 MONTHS AGO

"Shhhhh" Nairobi said while putting her finger in front of her lips telling us to shut up.
"No you shhh" said Tokyo drunkenly.
I giggled and then immediately covered my mouth. All eyes fell on me.
"Bostooon" Nairobi said
I followed them and tried to be quiet.

We were currently trying to go to Denver's room without the professor noticing, but it was really hard since we were really drunk. Luckily we passed professor's door and made it to Denver's room.

When I got in the first thing I noticed is the smell of cigarettes and alcohol. I got excited and jumped on his bed. Nairobi put on the music, Rio put our drinks on the table while Denver and Tokyo were dancing. Then Rio hugged Tokyo from behind and danced drunkenly with her.

Then Nairobi jumped in and danced with them. I was still sitting on his bed when Denver picked me up and run around the room. Everyone was laughing, even me. When he stopped, he put me down carefully and said
"Can I get this dance madam?" And bowed in front of me
"Yes of course" I said politely while laughing
He then took my hand and span me around.

We were all drinking, dancing, and singing. I was dancing with Nairobi when I felt two hands on my waist pulling me towards them I turned around and saw that it was a really drunk Tokyo but I didn't give a shit. I started dancing again when I felt someone looking at me. I turned around again and saw Rio and Denver sitting at the table, talking and looking at me. I couldn't think straight because of the alcohol so I went there and sat with them
"Wassuuuup boyz" I said
"I think you had enough to drink" Denver said and took the bottle of vodka out of my hands while laughing with my drunk self
"Nooo" I said and made a sad face
"Oh my god" said Rio and started laughing too.

Then I stood up and moved a little so I could be right in front of Denver. I reached my hands trying to get my bottle back
"Cmon give it to me" I said
I sounded so drunk I couldn't even recognize myself

I looked at Denver. What I saw scarred me. I saw the man I love or loved since he is dead now. I am of course talking about Bryan, my partner in crime. 2 years ago he was arrested and half a year ago he died in jail. So the moment I saw him in front of me I knew it wasn't real, I knew it was my drunk mind playing games with me but I didn't care. I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and kissed him. 

He kissed back. I lost track of time. I felt these sparks, these butterflies again. But it all stopped when I stopped the kiss. Because when I pulled back I didn't see Bryan, I saw Denver again. But something has changed. I didn't look at him the same, it felt so different like I knew what I was doing when I kissed him but at the same time I didn't mean to do it.

NOW

"I remember" I said blankly
"Our first kiss."He said and looked at me
"But.." he thought a little and then continued
"Why did you kiss me?" He wondered
