Shrouded in Ignorance

"Look up on Google, Rukmini is not Maa Lakshmi"
Another day in my life.

"Look up on Google, Ganga is the wife of Shiva"
Says the human, the bearer of sacred wisdom.

"Ravana was the best man ever, he protected his sister"
The feminist speaks, with pride.

"You are a bhakt!"
I bless thee, you have pronounced me a devotee!

Alas, they are shrouded in ignorance.

I raised my voice in the past
Trying to be heard, to be able to convey
That God is there, and to remove their ignorance.

I made myself the odd one
Just to ensure I spoke the truth,
And they laughed at how irrational my views are.

I couldn't make them understand how He speaks
How through a phenomena beyond this plane
One devotee sees Him.

Alas, they will mock me, I am a lunatic.

I see, now, it is futile
To make them listen to me through a raised voice
With smiles and patience I then thought of teaching them
But can I do it if they don't wish to be my student?
I cannot.

How it pains to see people crushing me and my truth
The truth that is behind our whole existence
Existence, beyond this mortal realm
About a soul that has felt Divine grace.

I keep quiet, I listen to them speaking
I know I cannot convince them
Neither can they brainwash me.

I keep quiet, let them speak
I don't want to correct them
Neither speak until it has turned chaotic.

I keep quiet, don't share the experiences
That has adorned my path to feel Him
Which humanely logic finds amusingly jolly.

I keep quiet, and keep my secrets to myself.
