Chapter 12: Too Good to be True

***So our love birds have gotten married, went in their honeymoon and have returned back to Istanbul and work.**

Things for Can and Sanem Divit have never been normal or easy. The way they met, the unforgettable kiss that started a whirlwind love was just the beginning. The interference from others not withstanding. So when they were back to work and things were quiet and calm for a few weeks, they couldn't help but feel a little weary. But always waiting for the other shoe to drop was no way for the newlyweds to live, they decided.  Can and Sanem vowed to one another that they would stick together come what may. Well it was coming unfortunately and it was aimed at both.
Deren comes into Can and Sanem's office with news of a possible client. She informed Can and Sanem that the client was actually a travel company and wanted assistance with pictures and story lines about travel destinations. Can and Sanem both smiled as this was perfect for both of them as he was a photographer and she was a writer. Deren informed them that the client would be coming in to consult with them later this afternoon. Can and Sanem couldn't help but feel excited about this project.
It was time for the arrival of the client and Can, Sanem, Deren, and Cey Cey waited in the conference room. The door opened and in walked a tall man with short brown hair, broad shoulders, a tailor made gray suit and a beaming smile. Deren kind of gasped upon seeing this man but quickly recovered. The man introduced himself as Levent, the owner of " Picture This" a travel company.  He shook Can's hand as Can introduced himself as one of the owners of the agency. He was just about to introduce Sanem as another owner and his wife when Levent turned to Sanem and kissed her hand as he leered at her. Sanem felt uncomfortable and pulled her hand away with a " nice to meet you, Mr Levent, my name is Sanem Divit, Can's wife and co- owner of this agency". Sanem turned towards Can and gave him a wink. Levent was not deterred and just kept leering at Sanem. Can was ready to " beat the shit out of Levent " for looking at his wife that way when the door opened again and a red haired woman waltzed in like she owned the place. She stood in front of Can as her eyes traversed over every inch of him from head to toe while biting her lip. She leaned forward to kiss Can on the cheek while saying her name was Ceyda. Can moved away from her kiss and reached out his hand. He introduced himself as Can Divit and pulled Sanem to him and introduced her as Sanem his wife and co-owner. Ceyda did not even bother to look at Sanem at all but turned to sit next to Levent. They smiled at one another and explained that they were cousins and co-owners of the travel agency. They were very straight forward about wanting Can to organize their travel pictures in order to encourage clients to get out and travel and to use their company. The whole time, Levent stared at Sanem and Ceyda looked at Can like he was her favorite meal. Deren tried to chime in with her thoughts and ideas but was just ignored.   Levent then proceeded to talk about wanting some beautiful words and descriptions to go along with the pictures as another way to entice their clients. However Levent and Ceyda not only wanted their help professionally but had decided that they wanted them. They arrived with a plan to separate them by Levent focusing on the writing which would keep him close to Sanem and Ceyda would work with Can on the pictures. They felt that if they were given enough time they would be able to get what they wanted which were Can and Sanem. However what Levent and Ceyda didn't realize was that Can and Sanem were no strangers to game playing and people trying to separate them and had learned how to play the game better themselves. They stood up in front of the conference table, hands joined and Can began by saying that the agency would love to work with them. Levent and Ceyda just smiled at one another, in victory. Can proceeded to say that if they took the campaign then they had a few stipulations of their own, he looked at Sanem, winked and gave her the honor of telling them. Sanem smiled the smile that was especially for Can and then began to talk. She explained that they would take the account but that they, meaning she and Can, would offer consultation only as they had Deren and Cey Cey who were more than qualified to work on this campaign and give them what they wanted. She also explained that they each had an intern and that they were super talented in photography and in writing and that they would also be working on the campaign to gain knowledge and experience. Sanem then with a direct look at Levent and Ceyda and said "these are our terms, no more no less". Levent and Ceyda nodded to one another and seemed to accept defeat, but looks could be deceiving...
The next day, Can was out on a photo shoot and Sanem was alone in the office. Levent was able to walk by reception unnoticed and came upon Sanem alone. Sanem had her head down and did not hear Levent approach her until he touched her arm. Sanem jumped up and asked Levent what he was doing in her office and asked him what he wanted. She told him no one was allowed in their offices without them knowing they were coming. She got on the phone and called for Cey Cey to come to her office. Levent came closer to Sanem and touched her hair, he told her that he hadn't been able to get her out of his head since meeting her yesterday. He commented on her beauty and how he was extremely attracted to her and wanted to get to know her better. Sanem was speechless for just a moment ( Cey Cey had arrived and was at the door calling Can after hearing what Levent had said), then she proceeded to tell Levent exactly what she thought about him and those like him who paid no attention to other people's wants or feelings. By this time Can had arrived and stood outside the door with Cey Cey just waiting to beat Levent's ass if need be. Sanem poked Levant in the chest with her finger, and said" you people are all alike, you think if you want something or someone then you can have them no matter what. Well let me tell you something, you and your cousin don't surprise or scare me or my husband. You don't even come close to being the kind of man that my husband is. You are cunning and manipulative where he is caring, kind and considerate. You are disgusting and I would never want to spend time with you in any form. I love my husband with my whole heart and soul and you have ZERO CHANCE with me no matter what words you use. So take your words and leave this office and agency immediately." Levent grabbed her arm and told her he could "convince her otherwise, he was sure of it, if he was given the chance. And maybe his chance was right now cause her husband was no where to be seen and if he knew his cousin he was probably getting to know her very well right now". Sanem did not respond to Levent's taunt but took the opportunity to grab his hand and flip him over so he fell on his ass with a thud. Both Can and Cey Cey ran into the room at this time and found Sanem standing next to Levent holding his arm behind his back. Can smiled at his wife and told Cey Cey to call the police. After the police took Levent away Sanem asked Can if Ceyda had approached him today. Can explained that Ceyda had showed up at the photo shoot and kept trying to put her hands on him and get him to go with her in her car to talk. He told Sanem that he told her flat out"no, I will not now or ever go with you anywhere. I am married and I love my wife more than any of you snooty, high class women will ever know or understand." He told Sanem that he walked away and came to the office to be with her.  Can and Sanem took this time to hold one another, kiss one another and reassure one another of their undeniable love and devotion.
