God modding loopholes

The characters whose form passes inspection but leaves room to become op or a god mod. Usually through like less than 20 minutes of training. Sometimes the training is only in the character's head.  Sorry, but 20 minutes in your head is not gonna turn you into the Green Ranger, Chuck Norris, or even a Super Saiyan.  Neither will only 20 minutes of practice.

Even a fourth-degree black belt will tell you it took them years of hard work, and training to get to where they are.

Using out of character info

What is discussed in plot discussion, what happens in a separate chain where a character can't see it.  What is said about ocs in the parentheses, this is all out of character information.  Thoughts included. The only way my character can know what yours is thinking is if they are telepathic. And Just cause I know my character is telepathic, does not mean your character knows this.

Even the Wicked witch of the West wasn't all-knowing, and if your Oc is not God neither are they. So quit using the info. Your oc doesn't know what silent convos are happening.  Nor do they know information not privy to them.  If no one else knows what the rebel leader looks like you do not know that the bookstore owner and his two friends are talking to him, and you don't magically know the friends are rebels. And if you magically knew this cause you wanted attention for your character even though you are messing up a plot point..... Face it you just ruined it for your fellow roleplayers.

Spammers

Hey, I get it your bored and stuck home. Most of us are still dealing with quarantine or some form of stay home order that has come of this. We all are, but that does not mean you can spam people.

People even now still have lives.  People have families to care for and feed, chores to do, homeschooling work to figure out, and trying to get exercise in and do what they need to to get through this mentally that may not always include Wattpad. And let's not forget all the different time zones.  Like I get a coke now, now and then, or a carryout.  If you are gonna tag someone makes sure it's at least been a few hours since they replied and they are indeed online.  If it's been less than 3 hours, unless the roleplay's rules dictate otherwise, or the roleplayer in question says otherwise, do not tag them or spam there inbox every 5 minutes or less.  Sometimes it takes people that long or longer just to write out the comment. Shoot it takes 20 seconds at least to properly wash your hands.

Only playing with potential love interests

These people always complain no one will play with them. When it's not that no one plays with them. It's because they will only role-play, or respond in a role-play with someone that can be a love interest.  The only time they pay attention to a non-love interest is if the non is bad-mouthing their character. Even if their oc is nowhere near the location. They will magically find, fight and be immune to most attacks back.  This is usually followed by some use of out of character or plot info. Like what's happening in the character's thoughts.

Often others with offer to role-play with them.  And whine there is no one to rp with but they merely mean there is no one to force a ship with for me to roleplay with. Because they keep ignoring female characters offered to roleplay with them.

You are not your character

Listen, just cause I find your character to be awful, does not mean you are. Unless by some odd coincidence you wrote the character as yourself.  [Then I would take a close look in the mirror if I were you} We can hate characters all we want. It's just someone that was made up, and face it if you read or watch movies or anything, you will find characters you hate. Now it does not mean you hate the author or actor. At least I hope you don't hate an actor cause of who he plays. Some characters are made to be hated, and some just suck so they are hated.

It's not personal, I generally don't assume that if their oc is a jerk then the person playing them is.  Some people make really good characters that are jerks on purpose, and you don't see them getting worked up that the oc is a jerk.

ghosting

Are you being ghosted...  If you're being ghosted after being told not to do certain behaviors in a role-play... Then look at how your role-playing.  For many, this is their safe space. Is your character or roleplay style causing people to have anxiety attacks, have to stop playing cause they are afraid they will self-harm? Are you or all your characters a douche that can't seem to do what the roleplay requires of your character in order for the plot to advance.  Do you constantly god mod, or use loopholes to make new ocs and try to god mod.  Then you now know why you are being ghosted...
