"Good morning , good morning." The principal said through the mic.

Everybody shook their bodies a bit as we tried to get the nervousness out .

"You're gonna do great Justine , don't trip!" Rena said .

"Yeah you gonna blow em out the water, water, water." Nick said , adding echo effects at the end.

I smiled, " thanks you guys."

"Tuh! Good luck!" I turned towards Melissa being sarcastic .

I wasn't gonna let her get to me , so I just smiled. "You too." I said back . She fake smiled before walking off towards her backup singers .

"I'm gonna whoop her ass.." Nick hissed , pointing at Melissa.

I shook my head, pushing his hand down .

"Ugh! Don't worry bout her.." Rena said , I nodded , fixing my outfit .

"Well lets get this talent show on a roll!" The principal said , cueing all ones who wasn't in the talent show to leave .

"Alright , we'll see you when you get out there." Rena said as her and Nick gave me a quick hug and left , going to sit in the audience.

I took a deep breath as I looked at my number , 21 , right after Melissa.

I looked over , seeing her smirk at me . I turned back forward, taking another deep breath .

"Come on out contestant 1, Willie Scott.."

"Thank you Melissa , now for contestant 21, Justine Skye.."

I heard the crowd clap and I could hear Rena & Nick over everybody as I walked out.

My heart was going 100 mph, as i looked out into the crowd.

"Um..actually I'm gonna be singing a song that I wrote, well sort of my own version of original song.." I said.

I took a deep breath before i nodded for them to start the instrumental .

The crowd cheered as I hit the high note .

I now felt more at ease , putting both hands on the mic , closing my eyes as I let the rest of the lyrics just flow .

No one even cares anyway..

I finished off the song and opened my eyes as the crowd cheered loudly.

I saw as Rena and Nick stood up, cheering making me smile.

I went on to the backstage , feeling good about my performance .
