-Kaiden-
It was another winter in Akarnae, snow topping the trees and the floor in a thick, icy blanket. He was looking for Alex, she had promised him that she would teach him how to do better hand-to-hand combat. It was Alex's final year at Akarnae and he was an apprentice. He checked the stables, the girl's dorm and the arena but Alex wasn't to be found.
"Alex!" He called out, "Where are you?"
He turned around on the spot, the only other place Alex would be is the library but she has been trying to stay clear of it because of, well, Aven. He was still being kept captive and Alex didn't want to go there in case she accidentally called his picture forward.
He sighed and headed to look for DC, Bear, Jordan and Declan. They were the only other possible people to know of Alex's whereabouts.
Bear
DC, Jordan, Declan and he were lounging in the rec-room when Kaiden walked in and saw us. We saw the change in his face, at first, it was relieved, then when he reached us he looked like he was going to have a breakdown.
"Have you seen Alex?" He asked us desperately.
DC's eyes widened immediately, "she just left us, looking for you. Like just now before you walked out the-" a scream pierced through her sentence and they all ran out of the room and around the corner, to find Alex on her knees in front of a boy who looked like a goth (Alex had educated them on Freyan stereotypes). He had a pale face and black hair pressed tightly against his frail frame; when he raised his hand Alex started to float and her head rolled to the side like she was unconscious.
Kaiden immediately charged and tried to grab Alex but his hand passed right through her, it widened my eyes. Sh-she couldn't b-be dead.
He looked at them with pity and then grabbed Alex's hand and pulled her toward him, "who are you?" He said to them.
"Who are you?" Jordan said back.
The goth boy just rolled his eyes, walked backwards and disappeared into a shadow.
"Where did he go?" Declan asked.
"He walked into a shadow," DC said and rubbed her eyes. "We have to go to Freya."
"Why?" I asked her.
"I don't know, I've had dreams, a person walking out of the shadow and into a sort of camp."
"Kaiden?" Declan said, "You ok?"
Only then did everyone notice Kaiden's defensive position, rolled into a ball with his head in his hands. He didn't move, he didn't reply. It was sort of strange seeing the leaders of the group like this today, first Alex screaming and then Kaiden breaking down.
Standing up, with a determined look on his face, Kaiden said: "we need to go to Freya and find out where Alex is."
"Yeah but how? It's not like we can open a door to Freya." Jordan remarked.
"I know how to, " Kaiden started, "we need to tell the library and beg for it to open a door for us."
"We can beg for a door?" Bear asked curiously.
"Yeah, but only Alex and Kaiden can do it," Declan said.
"Yeah, yeah whatever." Jordan said, "Let's go to the library and find Alex."
They all nodded and let Kaiden lead them to the library.
