Summer Never Lasts

Surprise!

Me and Jake met up with all our friends including Brooklyn and Landon. We were going out to the hottest night club in LA, now I don't mean to brag but I heard we might run into some of the hottest celebrities there.

As we met at Lucky 21 I caught a glimpse of Luke Hemmings, I couldn't help but stare. He was so beautiful in person. I thought to myself "boy I so hope we run into him and the other boys tonight." I snapped out of my thoughts when the line began to move.

Finally we were able to get inside the club and start having fun. All of a sudden someone grabbed me and pulled me away.

"Hey beautiful." A very familiar voice said.

I smiled "haii Jake."

"Awe darn you knew it was me." He pretended to be sad.

"So when are you going to make things official with me?" I gave him the puppy dog look.

He smirked "Oh I don't know yet."

All of a sudden a fight broke out. I ran to see who it was, there he was the one and only Luke Hemmings beating the crap out of someone. The guards broke the fight up and kicked the random guy out. Then I noticed Jake was gone. I turned to see him on the bar.

"Can I have everyone's attention?" He hollered and everyone got quiet.

"Thank you, now I have a very important question to ask." I got nervous I wasn't sure what was going on.

"Jake what are you doing?" I whispered.

"Just wait sweetheart." He whispered back.

"Now does everyone see this girl right here?" He asked while pointing at me, my cheeks turned bright red.

Everyone reacted quickly "yes."

"Well Kelsey May Brooks out of all the fish in the sea will you be my special fish?" He asked.

"Of course!" I shouted as I got up on the bar and kissed him.

That was the cutest thing anyone has ever done for me. I watched Landon storm out so I chased after him.

"Landon what's wrong?!" I shouted after him.

"Kels just stop right now please, you told me you loved me. Was that a lie?" He said through tears.

"Landon Michael you know it wasn't. Jake just swept me off my feet I'm sorry. I never lied to you once." I said frustrated.

"Kelsey you knew how I felt about you. How could you?!" He was getting angry, he got really close to me.

"Landon I'm sorry." I started to cry, little did we know that all of our friends were watching this go down.

"Stop now before you get ahead of yourself. It seems like every time I get happy someone ruins it." He got closer and clenched his fist.

"Landon stop your making me scared." I struggled so badly to say that.

As soon as I said that he punched me right in the face. I fell down and got cut on glass. Jake and the others came over. Landon stood there for a second, he was so calm then he ran off.

Jake rushed me home and helped me get cleaned off my lip was bleeding pretty badly. I started bawling.

"Shhh babe, everything will be Okay." He pulled me into a hug and kissed me forehead.

"I just don't get it. Landon has never hit me before. Something is wrong with him." I managed to get out through sobs.

"He was just worked up and jealous." He said slowly.

"I just don't get it!" I semi shouted.

Jake looked at me confused.

"He got everything he wanted from me, now that I'm happy he can't stand it." I rolled my eyes.

"What did he get?" Jake was nervous, I could tell by his voice.

"I was pre-" Jake stopped me in the middle of my sentence.

"What the hell?" He sounded angry.

"Listen I was drunk at a party, I was in love with him. We got trashed and it happened. I never wanted it to but it did and nine months later I had a little boy. His name was Brantly he was my world. I can't even see him now." I started crying.

"What happened to him?" Jake asked sadly.

"Brantly got taken away. Landons mother has him. She took Brantly away when he was born. He is only two no-" I heard my mom yell my name.

We went to see what she wanted. I walked in the living room and fell to my knees there he was Brantly Ashton Brooks. He was excited to see me.

"MOMMY!" He yelled as he ran to me.

"I missed you baby boy." I said crying happily with him in my arms.

"Grandma is so mean mommy you don't understand she beat me." He said as he began to cry.

"Oh my God." I held him so tight I couldn't let go.

"Where is daddy?" He looked around.

"I don't know baby." I smiled generously at him.

Jake walked in and saw him.

"Is this Brantly?" He asked happily.

"Yes I am Brantly, who are you?" He chuckled, it was the cutest little laugh ever.

"Well I'm your mom's boyfriend, it's nice to meet you. My name is Jake." Jake smiled and it was so heart warming to see him look at Brantly like it's his own kid.

"Awe mommy he is so handsome, I like him." Brantly hugged Jake.

Landon walked in and stopped dead in his steps.

"Daddy, your mom is mean to me. She beat me. She told me she hated me. So grammy came and saved me!" He kissed Landon and gave him a bear hug.

It was getting late so I put Brantly to sleep. Me and Jake curled up in bed after a long night. I quickly fell asleep while he played with my hair.
