What was happening
She didn't know
What she was tasting
Couldn't quiet figure
Darling show her a way

She begged with no one to admire
Who could she tell?
Her best friend who she was afraid the love was gonna fade?
Or the girl next door,
Falling day by day

Everyone was after, the relationship of decades
When they succeed, tearing them apart
They dreaded the beautiful moments they spent with each other
Although they didn't see each other quite often..
The love was evergreen, nothing like ever seen..
Their hearts craved to tell
But couldn't quite stop the fear from shivering
To think of the possibility of failing to make more memories
Pained them
But what could they do?
One was falling
And one was losing
The ability to feel

One was so keen on medicine
But couldn't quiet put the heart to it
And one was so enlightened on writing
But the soul was so empty...not even gold could stay so old
It lost all it's color
Like someone soaked the last bits of water out
And the drought was ever ending no rain could hold
Where could it go?
Writing was its thing, the last thing to hold
But now that wasn't even working..
She tried everyday, torturing herself
Just to whip up something
The expectation was just too high
And the feeling of "not good enough" killing the vibe
Competition was what it was
The thing she hated all her life
Not even her mother could keep
Inside her old heart
The heartless creature her daughter has become
And when she finally spoke
Was when some sense emerged into her
But it was just too late
The fire of emptiness has already burnt down all the trees
And the soil infertile
And my darling,
Try to understand..
That books cannot be made,
From treeless souls....
