The Return (Once Upon a Time sequel)

Chapter 3

"Alek, truth or dare?" Alek smirked, making my heart melt.

"Dare." He said without hesitation.

Jack laughed.

"Alright mate, there's no turning back now." He stated.

"I don't care. I won't cower back, so hit me." Alek replied.

He and his father were so alike. Not only were they handsome but they also had the courage to pick the risky stuff without hesitation.

"Fine. I dare you, to call the shadow and take a selfie with it." Jack dared.

Some of our group gasped in shock and others laughed. The shadow was sort of a myth in our town. It is believed, that if you call it, it will come and take you to a place far far away from here and you will never return to this world. No one has ever called the shadow since an incident that occured at a party a few years ago. Appearantly, some drunk douchebag decided to call the shadow's name for fun in front of his friends. The next thing they know is that a black, scary thing crawled through the window and took the boy with it. The boy is still missing and the game hasn't been played ever since.

"Alright." Alek announced. "I'll do it."

My eyes widened at his reply and my head turned to look at him.

"Alek, are you crazy?! Why would you do something like that?" I whisper yelled at him.

"Don't worry Jadey, it's alright, nothing will happen." He said to me as his blue eyes bored into my green ones.

A soft smile made it's way to his lips but for the first time in forever, it did not sooth me. Alek noticed how tensed up I was and the smile faded. His next move took me by surprise.

His hands gripped my shoulders and pulled me into his body for a hug. I hesitated at first but I wrapped my arms around his torso eventually.

"Please don't worry. Nothing  will happen to me. I can assure you that." He whispered into my ear.

I nodded my head, too shocked by the fact that Alek was hugging me. I slowly pulled away and met his eyes again. He smiled, a closed mouth smile, as he brushed a few strands of my hair away from my face. His ice blue eyes bored into mine and I felt paralyzed.

"Yo Alek, are you gonna get in action or shall we do it for you?" Tyler spoke up, breaking our moment.

I quickly looked away and looked at our group of friends.

"Uh, no, I'll do it. Is the camera set?" Alek cleared his throat.

"Yup. You know what to do right?" Adam exclaimed and Alek nodded.

The boys, the girls and I moved to the far corner of my room and I turned off all the lights. We were in the darkness so that the shadow wouldn't see us, if it really existed. Only the silver moonlight fell into my room, giving us plenty of light to see what was going on.

Alek opened my window and leaned on the window sill. I saw him gulp and then he put his hands on the corners of his mouth and shouted.

"Figure figure, dark as the night. Come out come out you have the right! Take my soul and never let it return, but not if you plan to let it burn." Chills ran down my spine as Alek shouted the creepy, bone chilling words out into the darkness.

I held my breath as we all waited for something to happen, but it didn't. Tiana was going to say something after a minute had passed but Tyler stopped her by covering her mouth with his hand.

He pointed to the window were an anxious looking Alek stood. And that's when I saw it.

A black figure slowly flew to my window and stopped right in front of Alek who had turned pale from fear.

The figure had yellow shiny eyes and indeed looked like a shadow. My eyes widened as it extended it's hand and grabbed Alek's shoulder, pulling him closer to the edge of my window.

My eyes widened when I realised that if somebody didn't react in time, something terrible would happen to my childhood best friend. I looked at my other friends but they were all frozen with fear. I heard Alek scream and that's when my body shot forward and came into the light.

"Stop!" I yelled.

The shadow's yellow eyes fell upon my frame and I immediately regreted coming out and showing myself. But I had to save Alek as no one would do it.

"Let him go!! Now!" I demanded and the shadow let go of Alek. He fell onto my carpeted floor with a thud and hissed as he grabbed his shoulder.

"Jade, come back here! Now!" I heard Rapunsel whisper yell but it was too late, the shadow had already seen me.

It floated towards me and I froze in my spot. The shadow's hand cupped my cheek and I inhaled deeply, holding my breath. Then, all of a sudden, a flash lit my room for a split second. The picture was taken. The shadow let out a demonic shriek and covered it's face with it's hands before grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards the window.

"Jade!!" I heard Adam and Alek yell and I looked back to see everyone come out of the darkness.

Tyler immediately threw something at the shadow but it went right through it. I tried to wiggle myself out of it's grasp but it tightened instead of letting me go.

A pair of arms wrapped themselfes around my waist. Jack's arms. Rapunsel and Aurora held onto my skirt and Tiana and Adam tried to pry the shadows fingers from my wrist. The shadow let out another shriek and swung it's arm, a wave of air making all my friends fly to my wall.

I let out a scream of help as the evil figure pulled me out of my window but I luckily dangled in the air as the shadow held onto me as if I weight nothing. We started flying up to the sky and I screamed for help, looking down at my house, I saw Adam yelling up at me.

"WE WILL FIND YOU! WE WILL RESCUE YOU JADE!!"

That was all I heard. I couldn't fight back anymore, and if I did I would fall and die. So I had no choice left but to let this dark, evil thing drag me to my doom.

Ooooo!!! It's starting!!!

So I've been really busy lately with school and stuff and that's why this chapter might be a little messy. I am sorry for that. I wrote it in my free time but don't worry, these days will be more relaxing for me so I'll write and update soon.
