It was Saturday evening and I was relaxing from all the running and planning I had done today. My mother and I had been preparing the house for my party tonight and that was so exhausting!! We started with cleaning up the whole house and putting all the breakable stuff in a closet. After that, I helped my mom prepare the snacks for tonight. I had to run to the grocery store to get the drinks for tonight and a few bags of chips. And lastly, I called Henry who was going to be the DJ for tonight.
It was now 6:30 which meant that I had one and a half hour to get ready.
"I'm going to shower." I informed my mother and then headed upstairs.
I stripped out of my casual clothes and hoped into the shower, letting the warm water sooth my muscles. I rubbed my coconut shampoo in my hair and did my body as well before rinsing it again. My thoughts drifted off to my dream which I had still not forgotten. How could I forget, really?
I had this dream/nightmare three times a month. They began when I turned fourteen and I didn't have them very often, but since half a year ago, the multiplied themselfes and now I have them every three times a month. It's creepy actually. Having the same dream every now and then and the most scary part....is that there are new details added every time! Last time, which was on Tuesday, the creepy figure and the boy came into the picture.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by my mom, warning me about the time. I would've probably stayed in the shower until there wasn't any warm water anymore. So I got out of the shower and sprinted to my room, nearly slipping and hitting my head on the door frame in the process because of my wet feet.
"Jade, are you alright?" I heard my mom yell from downstairs.
She had probably heard the yelp I let out when I fell.
"I'm alright mom! My towel just fell!" I replied.
"Weird. It sounded heavier than just a towel." She wondered.
"That's because I was in it." I replied and heard her crack up.
After that, I got up and walked to my room where I opened my closet. I had already picked out my outfit for tonight. I decided to wear a red, high waisted skirt with a black, strapless top. I matched my outfit with a pair of black flat converse, since I wasn't a fan of heels, and some bracelets.
"So, when are you coming home again?" I asked my mother as I entered the living room, trying to put my earrings in.
"Well, I'll leave any minute now and the party ends at two o' clock, so I'll be here not much later." My mother informed me.
"Alright." I nodded.
My mother left a few minutes later and after a while, my doorbell rang. I looked through the hole and smiled before opening the door.
"Hey gurll!!!" Rapunsel, Tiana and Aurora yelled in sync.
I let them in and they all hugged me as they entered my house, giving me some presents as they did so.
"Gosh, you didn't have to buy me a present!! You being here is enough already!" I smiled.
"Don't be silly! It's just a little something." Aurora grinned.
Half an hour later my house was packed with people and I was wandering around, smiling and talking and dancing.
"Hey Jade! This is an awesome party!!" Tyler yelled over the music at me, Rapunsel standing beside him.
