Love In All The Wrong Places

I know a girl, she looked for love in all the wrong places.

Every guy she ever met, never really wanted her hand to be her only man.

They just wanted what most guys their age could tame.

She chased the streets until she had nothing left. Mind, body and soul, she gave everything.
But her heart, she could never replace.

Her children left looking for her.
So young, the three of them did not know her failures. They couldn't see or understand her pain.

To look for love, you really couldn't imagine the strain. To bear the thought of never finding your  there.

I love lost, a dream shattered, A soul so empty from grief.

To search her whole life and never finding what her heart desired.

Her pain— See, you'll never really care.
Until one day, your soul is lost and you have no one left to blame.

You'll search day and night and find that love is not running your way.

Don't give up, become bitter, become empty or cold, or you'll be the one looking for love in all the wrong places.
