Number Three - "To My Mother"
--
Mother, whenever I'm alone, I remember your smile
Mother, whenever I'm sad, I remember your face
Mother, whenever I'm mad I remember your hugs and kisses
But Mother, why have you gone away to someplace far away, where I can't go?
"Honey, dear" you've told me once before
"I'll always be with you, forever more"
But mother dear, where are you now?
I cant hear you say
But I know somewhere up there
In the Heavens above
You're guiding me, loving me
No matter where I am
Still, I'll gladly give up everything I have
To spend another day with you
and finally say
"Mother dear, I'm glad you're back"
