Class is in Session

Start from the beginning

"Um, hi," I squeaked, waving softly.
"So, you've already met my brother, sister, and boyfriend, but this is Esme and Carlisle. Our, for all intense and purposes, mother and father." A wide grin seemed to permanently take over Alice's face when she spoke, mainly about family.
"What. Is she doing here?!" The girl I recognised at Rosalie all but growled at me, making Emmett's hold around her waist tighten slightly, almost not enough to notice.
"Calm down Rosalie, I'm sure Alice has a good reason to bring her to us," the calming voice of whom I assume to be Carlisle Cullen soothed, playing the peacekeeper.
They all looked at me expectedly.
"Hey, I-I don't know, I'm just here for answers on what's been happening to me," I stuttered, feeling my eyes go wide.
"I had a vision." Alice declared, making me turn to her confused, like a clairvoyant? "She's different, but not one of us, she seems to have the same power as Edward, but can turn it on and off, and that's just what I saw when I was actually watching, not in my vision," she then went into detail as to what happened yesterday under the tree, and all eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"But her heart's still beating?"
Wait what now?! Were they planning on killing me? I could feel my terror rise and my breath began coming out in short pants, oh my god, oh my god, they're going to kill me, I'm not even sixteen and I'm going to die, this isn't fair, this isn't fair!!!

Without my realising, they had gone off into their own little conversation, with only one pair of eyes remaining on me, looking up I met the eyes, and suddenly felt significantly calmer, and suddenly really sleepy.
"Jasper, stop!" I could hear Carlisle's voice through the mist, my eyes were getting really heavy...

Eyes snapping open, all I could see was darkness, all around me was darkness, "I think she's awake!" A hushed tone exclaimed, where am I? Was that Rosalie? A sound that reminded me a lot of a swift breeze drove near me, stopping right besides my waist.
"I think we need to tell her who we are if we're going to help her." That was Carlisle, I could tell that one.
A light flip was suddenly turned and I groaned as the light invaded my senses so suddenly.
All around me I could see then, Rosalie was besides my face, and on the other side was Alice, Jasper and Emmett were next to either of them and by my feet were Carlisle and Esme. "What do you mean; tell me who you are?" I questioned, sitting up from my lying position on what I now realised to be a couch, "and why is it so dark all of a sudden?"
"Sweetie, you've been asleep for a couple of hours now, It's nine o'clock." Esme spoke for the first time, sounding maternal and sweet.
"Before we tell you who we are, I'm afraid we must ask something quite unfair of you," Carlisle spoke next to her, I nodded hesitantly, "I'm afraid I must ask you not to tell anyone."
Alice looked at me with such kind eye's, I couldn't help but trust them.
"We're vampires," Carlisle said it so bluntly, so quickly, like he was ripping off a band-aid. I didn't know how to react.
"O-ok." I stated, shocking all of them, "I can hear people's thoughts like they're yelling in my ear, vampires aren't so farfetched. But even so, could you prove it?" I wondered, making them continue to look at me with bemused and confused expressions.

The breeze like feeling surrounded my system once more and everyone was suddenly very far away from me, "vampires are very quick," Alice declared, almost warningly.
"They are very strong" boasted Emmett, suddenly besides me again, lifting up the couch I was on for a moment and placing it back down.
"Why don't you just read our minds, sweetie, that way you can know for sure," Esme suggested, softly walking over to sit next to me on the couch, placing a cold hand on mine, which were placed on my lap, me wringing them together nervously.
I nodded, after looking to Alice for encouragement, and closed my eyes, gasping at what I saw, Esme's whole life flashed under my eyelids, the joys, the sadness, the pain, the loss of her child, the unbearable depression that caused her to fling herself off of that cliff, the pain of turning. I could only catch onto the big things though, stuff like people she knew, foods she used to like, that stuff flashed by too quickly, my mind expelling it just as quickly as I saw it.

Quickly, I pulled my hands away from her own, horror filling my eyes, "what the hell was that!" I all but screamed. "That was more than before... I... I saw everything! From the moment you were born, to now!"
"It seems that her abilities extend far beyond just simple mind-reading, it appears that if contact is allowed while she is concentrating, it is much like Aro's abilities too." Carlisle said with a very doctor-ish type tone.
"Who is that? That's the second time I've heard that name!" I panicked, feeling tears threatening to flow down my cheeks, but I would not permit them to pass.
"He's what you would call, the king of vampires, there are three but he is the most powerful. He is very interested in... different beings, and if those beings show potential even as humans? Then he makes it his mission to collect them for his high guard."
